I plan on creating modules for DA:O, but I am somewhat concerned by what I read about only the resources used for the OC being in the toolset, especially art work. I'm wondering if we are going to be limited strictly (at least until new CC is created) to the outdoor areas of the OC? In other words, are there going to be deserts, swamps, mountains, plains, etc? Does anyone have any insight on the terrains availabe and how customizable they will be?

The static artwork associated with an area is called a level in DA.
In simple terms, new external levels can be moulded and textured to meet your terrain requirements.
You also have OC artwork building blocks that you can place in your external terrain or internal levels.
