Why is there so much hate for mass effect 3?

Haters have already decided they hate the game, whether it be from DA2 syndrome or just the fact nothing that Bioware can do could live up to their high expectations.

If you're one of those people, you might as well just cancel your pre-order and quit ****ing. Complaining about a game that's already gone gold isn't going to fix anything now, and the last thing you want to do is give your money to a company that you're not happy with, ammirite?

Press a button and something awesome will happen.

More like press a button and something awful and unpredictable will happen that will randomly cause your character to act stupid and die.

LAWL, it's worse in MP.

Way worse, try running away from hoards of cerberus troopers (named assualt troopers) and getting stuck on cover and when you try to exit cover you end up going into cover on the other side and you die and everyone gets mad because you were the last one standing.

Oh!

That one I reconize!
(just tried mp)

Honestly, thats just lazy, bordering on stupid porting to have spacebar to 3 differenth things.

playing the singelplayer it was my old mass effect, story and intresting sections.
however the multiplayer is nothing more then one big shooter. easily compared to battlefield and call of duty.
that dispointed me the most.

but im looking forward to the singelplayer :D

I'm quite fine with space being run/roll/take cover. I don't have a problem with that.

But being the use and revive button as well, is very VERY annoying.
Especially when you want to revive a squadmate and you start using the objective or keep getting into cover. -_-

Largely what i've seen is people with concerns about certain aspects of the game. Whether its gameplay or story. It's perfectably reasonable for people to critique what they've seen.

But not reasonable for them to judge an entire game that has yet to be released on it.

My hate (to answer the OP) isnt really hate its frustration.

Bioware lead us to beleive they would listen to some of our complaints about mass effect 2 (the dumbing down, control issues on PC etc etc) and gave me hope that some of this would be correctted for ME3.

Unfortunately they seem to have fixed/brought back nothing that was wanted but also made furthur cuts or sloppy decisions.

Thats what drives my occasional rants about holstering, inventory, controllers and UI design.

Because BSN likes to nit pick on everything BioWare releases, they can never be satisfied.

You, sir, are completely right.

After over a  year on BSN I'm still amazed at the rediculous amounts of senseless whining being done around here. Sometimes it's like dealing with a bunch of 10 year olds kids who didn't get that one toy they wanted. Though I also feel BioWare is partially blame for this by catering to just about anyone who whines enough. So yeah the 'fans' are going to feel entitled and act like it's their own game - It's already happening judging from the threads around here.

Is TOR considered a fail now? Wow.

I know right? Some people should learn that just because they scream hard enough their opinion does not equal the truth.

there is nothing wrong with TOR. don't know where people get this preception that its bad, an MMO with 1+ million active subs isn't a bad mmo.

If you make a 500 MILLION DOLLAR game and you sell only 2 million units in two months, then yes TOR IS A FAIL.

Give me half a billion, and i'll make you a MMO that has 10+ million subs in the first month.

Gossip Girl isn't scifi.

The point still stands. I wasn't saying Lost is good sci-fi, I was saying it's good drama. Offering up those comparisons to Lost lead me to critique them in the same way.

It was good drama I will give you that.
but it wasn't a good mystery brilliant deep meaning for everything that they wanted us to believe it was.

Also so I wont derail this thread again.  I just got off work and all I could think of was MORE MULTIPLAYER PLEASE!

Yeah it took me a while to get used to it.  The roll mechanic is nice but tying to roll and cover and use and revive it starts getting crazy......  The awesome button has now become the everything button :P.

He's talking financially Basically if the game's budget is > how much it sails than it obviously sucked.   Which by that logic Skyrim and Portal 2 were the only good games last year

It is the DA2 syndrome.

Forget the generic de/constructive criticism and whatever may be the source of it, people actually actively try to find flaws in the game, and even if they are not very succesful, they at least try to make the general product look bad. There is effort put into this, regardless of the actual, present, flaws of the product itself.

Same thing happenned with TOR, somehow, even if it was generally perceived very well by almost everyone. Not to mention that TOR is a completely different genre than the DA franchise.

That is a bit off, considering MMO's main income is usually Subscription and the expected life-cycle of an MMO is also a lot longer (thus guaranteeing more sales over time).
