Same thing happenned with TOR, somehow, even if it was generally perceived very well by almost everyone. Not to mention that TOR is a completely different genre than the DA franchise.

It was generally percieved very well by almost every PAID "journalist". It was not generally percieved very well by the people who bought it.

Ahh, the good old "If it's a good review, it's paid, if it's a bad review, it is just honest." routine.

Such predictability.

No i'm saying is that if you spend so much money on development of a video game, and all you get is 2 million (or is it 1,7) sales then there's something wrong with your video game.

It only has a 5.9 user score on metacritic. That's not very good.

Check metacritic. User score is a lot lower than paid reviewers.

*And with paid, i mean as its their job to review games.

Baseless.

Despite the obvious review boming (lol "0" scores), gaming communities embraced it, even if the same heavily criticized DA2. Here you go, let's find 30-40 negative reviews that actually mention that there are fully voiced campaigns with dialogue choices.

Because no Trolls would ever just create an account (or multiple ones) to Vote 0 on a game they want to bash right? So obviously, Metacritic user scores are a PERFECT indicator of how good a game is.

I was actually waiting for the Metacritic thing. It always pops up right after the paid reviewer thing. XD

But boming (lol "10" scores) is no problem, right? :kissing:

Stopped taking any user score of metacritic seriously once I learned people give perfect 0s just to spite a game they personally don't like or perfect 10s because their fanboys.

You're not helping your case by stating another reason why the Metacritic User Rating system is completely unreliable.

What's sad is that bioware did just the opposit. Bioware employeess made accounts on metacritic and gave Bioware games 10 scores, while giving other companies games 0. But i guess that's not a problem for you.

Hypocrosy at its finest folks.
I don't think anyone's saying the perfect 10s are fine but you are defending the 0s because the game touched you in a bad place or something?

Again...not helping your point m8.

Your point was that the Metacritic User Score supposedly indicated TOR was bad. Now you've already written two posts that show clearly that the User Score is complete garbage.

Wrong, although there's fake user scrores on Metacritic, in the end those are negligible. Look at the user score for Skyrim. There's a lot of 0s, yet it still has an average 8+ score.

Not with review inflation, no. It is generally wrong to review bomb 10s, but this has been happenning to every single product in every single rating site ever. Review scores are relative. Especially on Metacritic.

Downbombing, however, is just catching up with the entirety of metacritic. Which is why I am laughing at your suggestion that it is suspicious that non-professional review scores are lower than professional ones. This has been happenning for the last three months for every game, to say the least.

You are just placing yourself in a tougher spot when you defend bombing zeroes without having played the game by bringing up 10-bombers.

Check the score of Skyrim. Lots of 0s. Yet it still has a 8+ rating.

I wish more people understood this - though it did take me a while myself to realize that myself.

Riiiight. I'm not gonna bother with you anymore. User Ratings are a complete waste, end of discussion. If you really think you can glean anything useful from those, I am really sorry.

P.S.: Skyrim is an overhyped run-of-the-mill average game. Play Morrowind or Daggerfall if you want a game where they still knew what they were doing.

You like bad writing, bad animations, no weapon holstering, 2d sprites, bad textures on clothing, bad controls, and dumbed down gameplay?

Where did i say i liked Skyrim? I don't. Just saying that overal those user scores are pretty spot on. I'd give Skyrim an 8, even though it's not my type of game.
