Some people are just in automaticaly hate new stuff mode. The people that have been hating on ME 2 the last two years are now beginning to sing it's praises because they want to hate on ME 3. While to them ME 1 was the pinnacle of greatness. You see in 5 years time these same people will being calling ME 3 a masterpiece while they diss whatever new game bioware is coming out with.

Basically they're taking all their rage on a game that will be phenomenal. And no, I haven't played the full game yet, but as a loyal Mass Effect fan, I don't need to. I know they put their hearts and souls into this ever expanding world. Three years of development opposed to less than one definitely shows me that this title will be nothing like Dragon Age. Which in my opinion, is a very weak title with a lackluster story, terrible graphics, sub-par voice acting, and a mediocre score.

The venom that people spewed on the Bathesda forums before Skyrim came out.
OOH I remember it getting ugly when Fallout New Vegas was coming out.
Everyone gets so negative around a hyped release that all they can see is the bad.

I think since RPGs are so detailed oriented, the people who play them are so concerned with the details. It's not like a shooter where all we need is good weight to the guns, acuracy and decent maps. It's an RPG and detail matters a lot, so when those details fall short of expectations they will meet criticism.

I am not so sure. I've been to 3 other video game forums (Hey, I am a bored guy when I am alone) and those were the Mortal Kombat, Fifa and Arkham City forum. In there, their were whiners but they were a minority and no one really paid attention to them but in BSN people seem to rage almost every hour.

To be fair, you have a mass of poopsockers who flock to those games. Especially Elder Scrolls and Fallout. You have to realize, poopsockers have nothing better to do than stuff their face with cheetos, chug mountain dew and **** on the internet.

Using DA 2 as a reason to be negative about ME 3 makes no sense in my opinion. I am a fan of both franchises (more so with Mass Effect but I have poured a ton of hours into the Dragon Age games) but I am not seeing alot of similarities with either franchise as they both have gameplay, setting, and artistic differiences that are vastly different from one another. Whatever criticisms people have for DA 2 and many of them are valid do not apply to Mass Effect. While you have plenty of cross over fans such as myself you also have plenty of fans of both franchises that are not fans of the other franchise for whatever reason and those fans could care less about what the other franchise is doing so bringing up what one franchise is doing is irrelevant when discussing the other franchise.

1. Dragon Age 2
2. Mass Effect 1 and 2 are totally different games and both have their hardcore fans
3. Story choices were a big selling point, but were reduced to small distraction in ME2, doesn't look much better for ME3.
4. Bridge DLC, especially Arrival set the stage for an epic homecoming and trial of Shepard
5. Bioware bragged and hyped how amazing ME3 will be, but demo obviously has dozens of flaws from animations to heavily scripted levels to corny dialogue.
IMO Mass Effect 1 showed enormous potential, but bit by bit the series has crumbled. ME3 looks little more than mediocre shooter with straightforward story. The only thing I can say I'm not worried about is the music and audio, loved start menu as well as every song, guns sound a lot better and most voice actors did well.
Well said......its the little things for me: Bioware's shift from a true RPG company to an action shooter one, lack of trial, many issues with demo script, and so on

i think thats because people get this idea that since its a bioware game they may assume all games are made by the same team. i think thats the reason why people spew the garbage they do like omg me3 wil be like da2

To be fair TOR is actually doing quite well while only being out for 2 months and its already got almost 2 million subscribers. However, DA2 is a totally different story everyone knows that this game doesn't potray bioware as a very good developer but other then that one game I think its pretty safe to say that bioware makes quality games.Guldhun2 wrote...
