Using DA 2 as a reason to be negative about ME 3 makes no sense in my opinion. I am a fan of both franchises (more so with Mass Effect but I have poured a ton of hours into the Dragon Age games) but I am not seeing alot of similarities with either franchise as they both have gameplay, setting, and artistic differiences that are vastly different from one another. Whatever criticisms people have for DA 2 and many of them are valid do not apply to Mass Effect. While you have plenty of cross over fans such as myself you also have plenty of fans of both franchises that are not fans of the other franchise for whatever reason and those fans could care less about what the other franchise is doing so bringing up what one franchise is doing is irrelevant when discussing the other franchise.

Both franchises have taken a drastic turn under EAs supervision. That is the common root here.
-Dialog has become cheesier
-Character designs cater to (seemingly) profitable demographics, which includes ****ty outfits and huge breast for women and brute muscle mountain males
-main stories are simpler, shorter and lack a satisfying arc
-logic, continuity more and more neglected
- D L C frenzyyyyyyyyyyy (getting worse every game)
These are some points both franchises have in comon now. I will not cancel my pre-order because I never had one. I don't trust EA and DA2 has shown how big the difference between expectations and delivered game can be. It's hard to know what you are getting today. So I wait and see, and meanwhile continue to criticis what I don't like because I will never lower my expectations and help with the degeneration of society.
