Is this normal? I downloaded and installed the software first, as I'd read it should be done before connecting the controller. Then upon connecting the controller, Windows picked it up as an audio device and promptly listed it in the device manager as such. Then shortly thereafter, I went back to the device manager and had another look, and sure enough it had moved to 'Xbox 360 Peripherals' at the end of the list. Is it strange that it didn't pick it up that way when it was first connected?

It's also listed again under 'human interface devices', and actually has more drivers listed there than on the other one. This seems strange.

Xbox 360 controller's tend to be real finicky sometimes when running through Windows. I had mine listed as an audio device before but it still worked. So, it seems that as long as it works, I don't complain too much.

No, I wouldn't use a controller for an RPG.

It's great for emulated games though.
