No .. because Fallout 1 and 2 not matter how good they were never huge commerical success or changed how RPG's are viewed or how they can be done.
its all about pesceptive not from with in RPG community but from the outside. You mention RPG to most people and couple of images would come to mind..
Final Fantasy, Zelda, Dungeons and Dragons.

Ya I get what your trying to say and honestly the last great game they put out was DA:O, but I'm still going to get this for 2 reasons:
1- I already played the other 2 games
2- If it sucks then this plus DA2 will have killed all hope I have in bioware thus freeing up a ton of time/money that I wont waste on future games from them.

Not to get too far off topic but Fallout 3 was a good game, but a terrible Fallout.
New Vegas was about 1000 times better.

Hell I would be happy for an ending to KOTOR 2, or to just redo the entire thing because it was sort like a train crash.
