It seems their recent failure is an excuse to cut them some slack, forgetting the quality of games these guys used to create.

The CoD and the rest of the "new audience" is thrilled with the outcome of the last games, and this demo too, I guess so this is enough for Bioware

Everyone's that satisfied with the level Bioware is, in these 2 last years, should know that they're actually hurting them, and pointing at you, older fans, you should be ashamed of yourselves for being content with this.

Just being honest and saying what every old and faithful (and disapointed) fan of Bioware's thinks.

Cancel Preordered.

And with awesome people like this in the old fan base, why would BioWare ever want to upgrade?

Contrary to popular belief, they don't need people who lick them up on every mishap and try to sugarcoat it.

If I were you I'd slap them in the face like an angry parent, tell them to pull their *** together and act like they're supposed to act.

That's how audience feedback should be.

They're not getting just my money, they're getting my criticism too, and judging by the fact that I've given them at least 500 bucks over the years, they'd better deal with it.

What the hell are you talking about? The quality in their games has, if anything,  drastically gone up since KOTOR. Hell that was the game that started the dialog options for ingame narrative. And now look where it has taken us: a 3 part galactic drama that is ramping up to end the Shepard story arc with a bang.

BioWare has gone all out in Mass effect 3. End of story.

Let's see here. Successful is quite a subjective term.

Success is money. CoD makes money. It is successful.

The only reason COD is successful is because the idiots who buy them don't know how to handle there money and 98% of them are stupid teens.

Calling them idiots just shows arrogance. My cousin has COD games and his 24 and is a bussiness man (who is at least 10x richer than me). And I knew a guy from school who played COD games and got around 10 A*-A in his GCSE and was given a scholarship for a college.

Your education level has nothing to do with anything if you know nothing about video games.

Am I the only one who noticed that the OP said "Cancel Preordered"?

Well, technically Bioware started the dialogue with BG1. However, as my first Bioware game, KotOR was the one that hit me with Bioware's potential as a company.

You are complaining about the full game.... When the full game hasn't even launched yet. Making judgements on a demo that was supposed to show off the new gameplay. I don't get it.

For what it's worth, OP, I agree with you. The BioWare of old is long gone. I have no doubt that they can still make good games, but the last game in which I saw even a hint of their old excellence was Dragon Age: Origins. The influence of EA and the attempts to "appeal to a broader audience" has watered down the experience immensely, and it saddens me.

It's right and I will explain why. Developers make games for money.

In case you are not ironic. The problem lies beneth the surface( as it so often does in games these days).
And from what we have seen from the demo, even some part of the surface needs some attention.

And I am sure you're a genius on this matter. /sarcasm.

Plus you need some education to work for a game company. (Or for any real job, for that matter)

I wouldn't go as far as to call them idiots.

They just don't know any better.

Because that's how capitalism works, basically. Of course the COD series are a success.

The first games are really good too, it's just that everyone assumes that the entirety of COD is @#$% because of the meme of bandwagon jumpers.

There's nothing to 'get' or understand. This is BSN. People on here **** about EVERYTHING! Even if ME3 played exactly like ME1 these people would still complain. You can't argue with them. All there is to do, is hoping that these people go back to their 2D oh-so-good RPGs from the 90's... maybe that will give us some peace.

Agreed. While money is a type of success, but hardly constitutes succeeding in all enterprises or endeavours.
