Calling everyone who buys COD games idiots? Really? REALLY? Holy ****ing crap, this forum continues to blow my mind. Wow...

I wouldn't go as far as to call them idiots.

They just don't know any better.

Or maybe, just MAYBE, these people actually enjoy these games. Are yoy really that arrogant?! I guess everyone who doesn't listen to the same music and watches the same movies as I do, just 'doesn't know any better'... ****ing please!

You are complaining about the full game.... When the full game hasn't even launched yet. Making judgements on a demo that was supposed to show off the new gameplay. I don't get it.

There's nothing to 'get' or understand. This is BSN. People on here **** about EVERYTHING! Even if ME3 played exactly like ME1 these people would still complain. You can't argue with them. All there is to do, is hoping that these people go back to their 2D oh-so-good RPGs from the 90's... maybe that will give us some peace.

Amen, to that.

What the hell are you talking about? The quality in their games has, if anything,  drastically gone up since KOTOR. Hell that was the game that started the dialog options for ingame narrative. And now look where it has taken us: a 3 part galactic drama that is ramping up to end the Shepard story arc with a bang.

BioWare has gone all out in Mass effect 3. End of story.

Well, technically Bioware started the dialogue with BG1. However, as my first Bioware game, KotOR was the one that hit me with Bioware's potential as a company.

If there is one thing I would post on the wall at  Bioware would this mantra.. "Show do not tell..."  and "Attention to Detail"  Those are  the two biggest things that I feel are lacking when I played there original IP's(note I never had the chance to play Jade Empire).

It's right and I will explain why.

Because that's how capitalism works, basically. Of course the COD series are a success.

The first games are really good too, it's just that everyone assumes that the entirety of COD is @#$% because of the meme of bandwagon jumpers.

Nope. Wait for TC to launch a tirade about how video games are a righteous endeavour to enlighten and invigorate minds and hearts all around the world, rather than a business aimed at making money.

Because frankly, trains are for enlightenment and jubilation.

How is it possible that the ME3 boards on GameFaqs is a more pleasant place than BSN? I can't believe it.

Let's see here. Successful is quite a subjective term.

Success is money. CoD makes money. It is successful.

That first sentece is wrong and I shouldn't even have to explain why

It's right and I will explain why. Developers make games for money.

That's a false corporation principle and you would realise that if you could control the nonsense you spew.

I have never played a COD game. I played most Bioware games available to me (and did not like BG...sorry the forgotten realm setting turns me off something fierce. If they set it in Ravenlnoft I'd have loved it...anyways...) I still think ME3 will be great. The writing in the demo was cut down obviously for many reasons not to mention that

A: there is a very simple reason why the trial is skipped

and

B: this has always been Bioware's MO. The narrative will come on only after the first mission + Normandy (or council) sessions

I've heard a brazilian soap opera has a lot of drama in it. My guess is this is how it looks like.

Street junkies have fun too, in the end they're just hurting themselves though.

The word fun doesn't really have any context in this dialogue.

Yes, and thats why capitalism is good for a certain type of sucess. First it diversifies and incresases quality, given there are enough resources, then when it gets big and confortable enough, it conformes products, because a lot of custumers are too spent to notice it.

Thats an odd statement. I've worked in Corporate America it's all about the money at every level. Even at the expense of quality.

Oh dear me. "I've been a Bioware fan for years they changed! wah! *insert sense of entitlement*" Look games moved on and the modern gamer expects more from a game than they did in the late 90's where it was fine to have simpler graphics and tons of text to read but now there is so much more that makes up a game even Mass Effect itself was very different in scope to what Bioware got famous for and it was still a well loved and great game. A little clunky and slow at times but they fixed that in the sequal.

Honestly i don't know what the OP is so upset about it seems like another hissy fit based on a sense of nostalgia making them view old games with rose colored spectacles.

And honestly if people want to cancel their preorders then go ahead you are entitled. It's your money but why do some people feel the need to come on here and tell everyone? Nobody cares what games you preordered and honestly i think if you actually were going to do it you just would instead of saying it on here. A lot of the complainers end up buying the game anyway.

Mhm. That's why the games are entertaining enough to sell and be played, so the consumer spends hours playing and the developers get paid.

On what criteria is the series unsucessful, let me guess, the "I don't like it, therefore it sucks and everyone who plays it is dumb", one right?

Aside from the Basic Economic Principle (max profit, least cost) , corporations have other obligations too.

You should study up on that or you'll fail miserably.

I've already posted on the previous page what constitutes a game successful

I'm not going to be ashamed for not sharing your tastes.

What is "hurting" us is BW being held back by BG throwbacks like the OP. If you want anybody borefest like BG, or ME1, then good for you. But their attempts to satisfy people like you doesn't pet them move forward.

I'm not going to get into a credential show down with you because you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Please continue to whine about the state of gaming or how massively successful franchises by any criteria other than your are own, suck. Good day.
