I think I'm not the only one, who sees a quite disturbing pattern with the ME3 demo?
Let's turn back time a bit.

Dragon Age 2 demo released
Demo is an abomination
Lot's of criticism
Biodrones appear and defend DA2, main reason: this is just a demo, the final version will be better.
Dragon Age 2 released
Huge disappointment, worst game of Bioware so far.

What happenes now:

Mass Effect 3 demo released
Demo is a abomination letdown
Lot's of criticism
Biodrones appear and defend ME3, main reason: this is just a demo, the final version will be better.
Mass Effect 3 released next month.
...... If the pattern continues, the game will be ****.

Bioware really should pull itself together.

Inb4 mods lock this topic.

ME3 is going to rock - I was ready to write it off - then I read a few bits and pieces from the leaked script.

It. Is. Awesome.

DA2 - little over a year of developement
ME3 - over 2 years

So the answer is no. Sure people may not like the gameplay changes and whatnot, but if you're crossing your fingers for the repeat of DA2, you should wait for another 1-year+ rushed game, ME3 ain't gonna be the one

It does seem like deja vu from almost this exact same time last year.

The demo is an early build the game will be much better is almost verbatim.

i cant beleive people think fans being dissapointed and letdown, is suddenly hate and that we can never be satisfied

my expectation was to have it as good as ME1 and 2, that was it, but it seems its downgraded from both of those.

I had expectations that were let down, we will see how the game REALLY plays when bioware ships the game reviewer final discs in a few weeks VGR discs ship out feburary 24th I believe

Duncan, have you accepted my proposal yet? I lost the thread in which I asked for your hand in marriage.

isn't the framerate a PS3 problem?

I might actually accept, because Bioware seems to encourage homolust so vehemently.

Everyone here is bisexual.

Don't know what you are talking about, op. I remember how it was with DA2 demo, the reactions, how many negative topics, how many pages in a few hours, and lol, it isn't the same thing at all. I don't know where you were at that time. :P

M3 will rock, and you will be pissed of. x)

The same as M2 I would say. People on tyhe bsn complained a lot about it at the beginning, and this game was sucessful.

Nope. Plus DA2 never failed. It got an 79% metacritic on Xbox and 82% metacritic on PC and PS3, so all those whiny people saying it's a fail are just overreacting.

Also all the previews of the demo have been postive, only these so called "loyal" fans are saying it sucked.

Mass Effect 3 will be the pinnacle of emotional engagement, moral choice and thought provoking depth. If you think you won't be receiving a sublime cinematic narrative experience watching Shepard blast aliens, husks, Reapers and having sex with his/her squadmates, then GTFO.

We don't need your negativity ruining everyone else's fun.

Is jumping to conclusions a fashion trend or why seems almost everyone to do it? *sigh*

DA2's criticisms were justified though. And much more wider than what I've seen levelled at the ME3 demo.

I don't think ME3 will go the way of DA2. If it does though, then it would mean BW duped me with two poor games so I'd just avoid them until they sorted it out. But again, like I said I can't see ME3 being diapointing for me.

It'll be a critical success, I don't like anything with the script but it's filled with enough patting on the back for the average player to feel special and as if their choices "mattered" (because the script is written around those choices, whether or not you did them was irrelevent) and we'll have people claiming it's quality writing because they can pull of cheap punches like the kid from the demo.

I mean, there's obviously going to be a sizable group who'll probably loathe the game or grow to hate it but they won't be here because any negative opinion is told to go kill themselves (which has happened to me!).

79% on metacritic is as close as a AAA title can get to a fail.

But I agree with what you said about the demo. Lots of people still like it and calling them Biodrones just because they don't tend to agree with you is stupid.

Metacritic? LOL, like that means something. DA2 was a garbage in terms of a hardcore RPG. But if you want to bring up Metacritic as an example, the user rating is around 4-5 by the way.

To be honest, I wanted to be hardcore, but my mom wouldn't let me.

I agree... I mean, when that child said "everyone's dying" and "you can't help me", wow, tears ran down my cheeks.

Then when the child was killed on the shuttle, wow, it really played with my emotions. I never knew the reapers could be so evil. It's like a real fight for survival now, man, woman and child.

And when Ashley/kaiden says "welcome aboard, commander" and shep just says "thanks"

Holy cow, it deserves a goddamn pulitzer award. Just beautiful.

ME3 signifies the end of an era of primitive, neanderthal writing and paves the way for a new type of glorious intellectualism.

Will ME3 be a critical or commercial success?

Who cares? It's just a game.

That's the new mantra around here, right? "Who cares about this game, what's in it, how it does, who's playing it, or anything else about it?"

At first, I didn't think much about this point of view. But as I learn more and more about ME3, I'm starting to see the appeal.
