textures look fine in retail???

I looked at the picture in which reminded me... Does anyone else ever notice that Commander Shepard (no matter how you make him/her look) always has a lazy eye?

Lol yep I noticed it in ME2 especially, it was annoying and sometimes made her look deranged :)

Let me add a little something here.
I live in Argentina. Games here, the standard versions? They are about 120-130 U$D.
That's about double the price most people pay.

Please understand where the concern is coming from, at least from my point of view.

My Collector's Edition is hanging in the air until someone from Bioware explains all this mess with the demo.

We're both from Argentina and games are not cheap as you have read before. The game has gone gold and the demo is not an old build, so if I'm gonna pay for something that's unpolished, have lots of bugs and framerates issues... later, I don't wanna hear a single complain about piracy. I think that with such budget and time, you could have done better.

no you wont nice try on saying you will cancel you ce edition... when you know damn well you can not really get  it anymore and  i understand the price issue.. but you will not cancel the ce no mater what you say you wont and if you do  realize you wont be able to  say oh i would like to reorder the  pre order i canceled.. you will get the same damn  thing my wife got trying to get her copy of the me3 ce for the playstation back...

sorry miss since you canceled it and  now just decided after  hour  you can not reorder the ce that you canceled due it went to a order that we was holding till we got more in.

i just glad i ordered my xbox ce version back in  june and i can understand the framerates  darksouls had that problem on ps3 and the  xbox in one area blighttown where the frame rates would slow down to 5 fps in that one area where the second bone fire on the stone beam would slow everything down

Hmm, this has made me curious. I've played the PC Demo so I might grab it for my PS3 tonight. Just to make a comparison. I rarely get action games for the PS3 as I'm too much of a gumby with the controller. I usually stick to racing and adventure games or games that don't require real time skill like FFXIII.

Lazy-eye is a general problem they have with the eye animation system.

I don't want to sond arrogant but i'm really not surprised that ps3 is having frame rate issues most games that people tell on ps3 do have a lot of frame rate issues.

^ Many times framerate issues can be fixed, it really depends on how much time and effort they put into porting the game to other systems.

I love how this poster^ completely ignored everything you said in your post, OP. Everything.

I don't even play on PS3 and I haven't played the SP demo, nor do I even particularly care for the ME series, but I agree. If they say that it will perform exactly the same for you as it will for us, then it should. And there is nothing wrong with posting on the forum to get some clarification. That is, after all, what this forum is for. To discuss and ask questions.

That said, anything you say on here will be taken as criticism. Even if you say 1000 times over that you've not got an issue with Bioware or the game, the die hard fans will always chime in. It's ridiculous.

lol, if there is one thing I have learned while coming here, it is exactly that, DuckSoup. I love this franchise, my problem really is not with anyone or anything, I am simply speaking on behalf of many worried PS3 users because we were assured something (then again, how so many broken promises were made in the gaming industry is beyond me) and now it seems that the concern turned out to be legit. All we have to rest our heads on is the word of Chris Priestly claiming ''they are now aware of the issue and reviewing it, thank you for bringing it up.''
Maybe it is like the IGN reviewer said, and all these issues clear up as the game progresses. I paid 150 dollars for my Collector's Edition, and that was the cheapest one, so I can only hope that's the case until a patch is released.

It's good to see there is still a handful of people in this community (actually, way more than a handful, thankfully) that keep an open mind.
So, thank you. :3

I love how you are a reasonable and mature when posting, and even to see you are both a non PS3 user and a non fan of ME makes it all the more amazing to be honest.

Anyways on a more related note I hope to god bioware don't screw us over like bethesda did, and fix this mess before we end up with the same disaster on here that was happening on the bethforums, only a few months ago. Heck bethesda are STILL trying to clean up the mess, it couldn't have been good for them and it sure as heck wont be good for bioware if they do the same.

Weird, because the complaints I've heard about the PS3 version don't seem to be present in the xbox 360 version. Most likely because the PS3 and PC versions are ports. Though it still is unfortunate for PS3 users.

Yes, at least you have something to go on. As we have seen in the past (with the 'ME3: Deception' thread) bringing something like this to their attention, especially with a good following, can get positive results. I hope they sort it out for you guys.

Oh, and thanks. I try! :3

This really is about the framerate, not textures being muddy or lipsyncing being off.

You have no idea how much it affects immersion. :<

Thank you. I do try to be :3

In the past I have had people bash the crap out of me for trying to do this - as if I have no valid opinion because I don't play Mass Effect (or similar) - but why would I not support that people get what they pay for? Yeah, the games may not mean much to me at all (I'm not really a gamer) but I do understand that those who have followed a game series have certain expectations from it. If those expectations are not met, then they can either 1) explain why they are unhappy about certain things in a reasonable and composed manner (such as the op in this thread and in the Deception thread) or 2) Rage quit.

Personally, I feel there are people on these threads that will find an excuse to b*tch about anything that comes along. Or, there will be those that are also too involved in the games and will therefore worry about or defend it to the absolute death. I can't stand either in equal measure. Some, however, are level headed and those people I'll back.

Anyway I'll not derail the thread. Again, I hope you get the results you're after.

Yet another developer on a multi-platform game that doesn't have the time/know-how/will to provide ps3 owners with a comparable version to the 360/PC. Guess I know which of my 2 CE editions i'll be flogging on ebay.

I agree with you completely, although graphics are awesome to look at and enjoy when done correctly, as long as I have an enjoyable game I am happy, BUT you cannot enjoy a game when the frame-rate is crap, it spoils everything really.

That's your choice.
I, for instance, have never played a Dragon Age game, yet every now and then lurk the DA section of the forums to see if perhaps I should give the games a chance, or the first one at least since it appears it is actually really good.
So, to each their own, right?

Anyway, let us not derail this thread, please. Just remember she has the same right to post in here as you.

'YOU'RE EVEN LUCKY IT GOT PORTED TO THE PS3 YOU BASTURDZ. STOP WHINING!!!11one!!.''

True story comrade!

The point is graphic upgrade and enhancing was unnecessary for ME3. ME2 was good enough. By doing that Bioware made the game unplayable (lower framerate and more need of memory) on consoles.

See exhibit A above. This kind of idiocy is exactly what I'm talking about.

You're right. I absolutely shouldn't be in the ME forums because I don't play the ME games. I should have absolutely no opinion on anything that goes on in the threads. I should have no say at all in anything that goes on, even though I speak on behalf of hundreds, if not thousands, of other players.

Shall I just go back to the kitchen?
