Just got an Asari Adept earlier today, and took it out for a test run on how good they'll be.
One thing I noticed about the Asari Adept (whch I assume also holds true for the Vanguard) is that you actually consume a small amount of Barrier energy when you perform a dodge. None of the other classes do this AFAIK - you don't see a Salarian consume shielding when sidestepping. I'm wondering if this is intentional, and if so what particular advantages does a dodging Asari have that none of the other races do that justifies giving it a weakness like that.

It's fast? You can slide down ladders without being stuck in the sluggish roll animation?

This, you can also spam it off faster than the roll because it does not have as long of a recovery time between uses.

You can actually cancel almost any action into a dodge which is very powerful, including when you hit with a successful biotic charge you can immediately dash backwards out of harms way. It also has a 0.1 second cool down in between the ability to perform the action again vs. The human roll which is 0.5 seconds.

Oh snap, that's sweet. Thanks for the info!
Why don't you have fancy BioWare tags?

So it's just very, very fast compared to most other dodges, and easier to pull off. I think I'll try that if I get the Asari Vanguard. Thanks for the info

Is it unlockable in the demo? only have the asari adept atm. Some classes seem to be restricted for demo.

they are all available but some of them are very difficult to get with the current packages we can purchase, the real game has more expensive packages with much higher drop rates for the classes that seem "impossible" to get in the demo.

Every class is unlockable in the demo AFAIK. Unlocking them is a whole different matter though, what with the randomness of the unlock system and all.

I love my adept! Her melee is AoE, meaning you can ignore aiming and just hit that F button when near an enemy. Making Phantoms cry "For Thessia!".
Dodge anim is so awesome as well.
