Hello,

I can't get the voice control to work. Does anyone have any tips?

Or doesn't it work in the netherlands?

Any feedback would be more then welcome.

Technically, it should work. While I assumed it would not work ingame (Austria) it did, even with spoken english instead of german. Have you tried speaking sentences / activating powers with kinect? Threre should be a microphone icon everywhere if Kinect is active.

Run Kinect microphone setup, maybe kinect can't hear you. If your speaker setup is really loud, you could also try headphones instead.

If all else fails, set your console's region to United States, unplug the ethernet cable (if you have one, just take the xbox offline), restart the console. You should have 100% speech recognition now, even in the dashboard. This lasts until you go online with your NL profile.


Kinect / xbox would be so much better if English language was supported in every country, regardless of XBLA settings. >_>

Only works when i go in offline mode and the region to United States. /sadface

I had the same problem in Switzerland. I changed Locale to the UK and it worked fine. There's a list of countries where speech recognition is not enabled and that's what determines whether Kinect voice works or not. It's under your XBox Console settings, set language to English and Locale to UK. I hope this works for you too!

That works as well, just can't be online on xbox live. Because then it doesn't work!

mine works, i just had to sync it to my voice. and i live in Australia.
