Hello!

I've been searching the net for well over two hours now, but I've yet to find a site (ala Gog.com) that sells a digital (downloadable) german version of BG II.

Does anyone know if such a thing exists?

Might try gamestop.com, if you haven't...

You might see whether the following helps.

Thanks for the tips! Gamestop didn't have it. Frankly I'm quite convinced that a digital copy of the German version simply doesn't exist. The thread which Grond0 linked to offers an alternative way, but the links provided in that thread are dead and the method felt a little bit too risky for me.

The only way of obtaining a German version seems to be ordering the box from a site like amazon.de.

I am pretty sure that there are still some stores in Germany selling the complete Baldurs Gate + Icewind Dale Series as a box - at least around where I live.

Yeah, if you live in Germany that is naturally an option, and you shouldn't have much problem really, but I failed to mention that I live in Norway, not Germany.

As a last resort you can buy the gog version, and then beg borrow or steal a german dialog.tlk. Note the audio remains english, but the text is in german. I did this in reverse with Jade empire, I found a german version, and then got someone to upload the english dialog.tlk.
