I tend to play to the class I am. Which means when I'm on Vanguard, you can expect me to be all over unless I don't think the dive is worth the risk. (That class is just a Biotic Bulldozer.) When I'm on Infiltrator, I'm going to be Sniper/Stealth.
Still think Vanguard is more fun though.

Sometimes you meet such douchebags who rush foward, die, u revive 2-3 times and then ur screwed
4 newbies sticking together and not getting flanked is much % win than 4 arrogant idiots running n' gunning around
This is 100% true!
Hey now, last night I was one of those gungho rambo-style douchebags running into the enemy trying to kill `em all... and after sitting out most of the match (twice) I learned my lesson. The ai is completely different than standard ME ai and it took a little while to learn that lesson... I started watching what some of the other players were doing and quickly realized they were really smart, they stuck together, stayed close to cover, and rarely split up.
I've actually been playing bronze level solo just to get some basic xp so I could unlock a few basic powers - middle of the second wave always kills me

Vanguard is ALL about rushing into the fray trying to cause havoc. They're awesome at disruption.
Paired off with a tech class like Engineer or Infiltrator to mop up what's left behind, and the combination works incredibly well.
That said, a Vanguard needs to be aware of his/her surroundings and not dive into situations he can't get out of - something only learned through experience.
There are other good classes for close quarters as well, depending on the build. But Vanguards are pretty much made for up close and personal.

Sure, vanguards will charge, which doesn't mean they need to go to somewhere else and leave the team behind. They will become easy preys, and the team will get handicapped. My main character is an engineer, but I'm playing with the other classes to unlock every bonus and races. When I played as vanguard, I charged into enemies when it was needed, and gave support to the team too. Charge is incredibly useful when someone from the team gets killed by some enemy that stays near the downed person after the kill. You just aim, charge, the enemy dies, and you are ready to revive your partner. The mp is all about team play. When I play with a team that sticks together, it all becomes extremely easy. But some people are trying to get "killstreaks". I don't mind that much. But the game becomes funnier to play if everyone play as a tight team.
I usually get the lower "rank" after a match because I focus on helping the team, either by killing enemies or by just covering someone that is hacking/decrypting something. Sometimes I focus on taking shields down, sometimes I focus on suppressive fire... And of course, if it comes to just me and the enemy, I kill the enemy too.
If someone plays on pc, add me on Origin, DiegoProgMetal, same as here.
Edit: please, don't make jokes about my accent, I'll just stop speaking if you do that.

Do not invite/add me if you are:
A.) Low Lvl.
B.) No-mic
C.) Squeaker.(If you have doubts as to whether or not you are one, just think back to your last few sessions..."Did I talk and get immediately booted?" or "Did I talk and everyone else stop talking?" (Because you were muted and can't hear what the players who muted you are saying).
or D.) Just an all around ****** that will have to be constantly revived.
At this point, I must sound like a complete a-hole. Well, I kinda am. I'm 28 and have no patience for stupidity, and don't like to waste my time.
Edit: Oh, and please send a TXT msg(I don't listed to Voice Messages unless I know you) BEFORE adding/inviting. Otherwise, I will assume you are someone whose lobby I left(because of the aforementioned), or some child that just spams invites/Friend Requests to everyone regarless of skill/chemistry. TYVM, Good day.

Unbelievable, I'm shocked truely, 28 and no patience? Waste you're time? Aren't games widely considered a waste of time in the first place, maybe you should learn to just enjoy them. Besides the mic is completely unnessacary and most of the best games I've been in have been completely silent, where people just got on with what needed to be done. Aside from the family of 3 I joined at one point who where lovely, not bad and very chatty and full of laughter but it wasn't orders and I only felt bad not having a mic to thank them for a few great games and reply.

Xbox Gamertag: Dawgmeat
While I can't attest to my Mass Effect 3 skills since I can't seem to find a team to go past wave 3 (though I say I'm fairly good), I can say I'm a beast with Gears of War 3 horde mode and I have a mic. Big time team player so you can expect revives and fire support.

I've been having the same problems as everyone else it seems. I'll start a match and by wave 2 or 3 everyone quits and I end up with no XP or credits. It's happened every time. At first I thought the demo didn't allow you to level or pick up credits but reading this I'm guessing I'm just getting hosed with ragequits.

^ I think that as long as you survive one wave with at least one kill you still get XP at the end, when I first tried out MP mode I got matched up with players who were just finishing the final wave and I ended up with XP and credits. I have tried playing other characters in MP, level ones, and they get XP at the end of the match but when I switch back to a level eight or nine, even though it runs through saying "you earned xxxx XP - level up" the XP and the option to level do not show up.
As far as people looking to organize teams, I'm still trying to build my players up and get used to the control setup, I don't use voicechat, but I do understand combat tactics and techniques hooah

1.) VERY.
2.) Yes. Sorry for knowing what I want from the people I spend my time with. Online or otherwise.
3.) As do I.
4.) I do. Especially when I don't have to babysit children on XBL because their parents are too irresponsible/negligent to check what their kids are downloading/playing(M-Rated Game/Demo). Or idiots.
5.) Only the better players don't really need a mic. For the most part, it's essential IMO. Makes a world of difference when you can tell your team-mates that a *Phantom is about to flank them.
6.) Um, txt msg/Friend Request maybe? Just throwing that out there.

I've gotten so bored now that I just refuse to play with low level players on silver, I can't count how many hours I've lost because of players not having a clue what they're doing.
