I don't mind the difficulty, but I also want better weaponry. Of course it's going to be difficult when you're carrying only a class 3 of anything. Even after several purchases of Spectre and Veteran packs, I find my Level 20 character carrying a pitiful Avenger III and 35 spare ammo packs kind of ridiculous. Of course, the maps are going to be challenging when it takes 20 shots to take out a cannibal.
always always always farm recruit packs on silver before graduating to gold, your bread and butter weapons can be the mantis and avenger X with level 5 standard mods. Also, maxing out beginner weapons and mods keeps them from occupying slots in those hard-earned spectre packs you start farming.

I win 2 or 3 silver matches a day already. But the good thing is that it doesn't actually matter. You get bonusses for being rescued but I consider it a good match also if we get to wave 9 cause you still get XP and credits.
I feel that I would only return to bronze to help new players around, but as it is the same in l4d, if you go back to normal/advanced mode, it kinda makes you "lazy". You need to keep training to become better in the mode that gives you a good challange according to your abilities.
For me that is silver. I'll never be so good in gold I think.

After the bronze matches got too easy I did my first silver match yesterday.
Toward the end there were two banshees and endless waves of enemies so our squad was mostly reviving each other but made it out together. I loved it !
You usually don't get such adrenaline kicks out of those easy games nowadays.
Thank you, Bioware. The multiplayer is fun.

A couple days ago, a friend and I decided to do Silver by ourselves. We were both Turian Sentinels. We actually made it half way through Wave 8. We made a pretty good team, especially sense having a mic helps out a lot.
But I think we were really lucky too. I believe the map we were one is called Firebase White. Somehow the Banshee teleported up on the railing, getting herself stuck. Thanks to that little misshap we were able to just focus on the other forces, considering she was the last Banshee for that wave.
But yeah, I've met some great people, and definitely some bad people (One kept getting pissed off, and yelling, "OMG, you stole my kill! I worked so hard on that enemy!"... It got annoying... Real fast.).
Thanks BioWare, for a great MP. I've never been this addicted to a MP. :3

Its kinda refreshing i feel the difficulty of mass effects multiplayerLike people say even bronze can be a challenge. But I get the most fun playing with some friends on silver or gold. Having to work together now thats what makes the multiplayer for me
After playing the MP for some time now: yes, bronze can be challenging for a long time after having reached the level cap of both class and weapons and even more has very exciting moments (especially if wave 10 demands you to run through four stations, even more if the enemy is reaper then - fun garantueed and bad teams fail this even on bronze). If you find it too easy, make your goal to a) stay alive
As a side remark: Actually I find a) an essential skill to learn (which makes
Another side remark: too many players run for rescuing others without checking and possibly cleaning the place. It does not make sense to revive someone under heavy fire. The result is: two grounded team members. So if you are dead, hammer space and give your comrades time to clean up the mess you gotten into.

I'd like to see a more equal balance between how much cash you earn vs. how much exp you earn. I've already promoted 1 class, but I'm stuck with that pea-shooter M8 Avenger. (I LOVE THE MATTOCK) But I have to play non-stop for HOURS AND HOURS to get enough money to pay for the spectre pack. Or even a veteran pack.
Those are pretty much my only concerns. Outside of the occasional bug, the multiplayer is rock solid. I love it!

Even with bronze difficulty, I'm pleasantly surprised by how tough it can be.
True that! I've been smeared on a couple Bronze missions. (Usually versus the reapers) Those particular missions are usually indicative of poor teamwork.
I would like to see a lesser gap in difficulty AND reward between Silver and Gold. Gold is almost horrifying. lol

Gosh, any good tips for Silver Reaper? I occasionally get through all the waves, but it really depends on how good my team-mates are.

Yeah, making sure you're matched in a good lobby is crucial. I always use Warp Ammo mods. It really helps against those freakin Banshees.

Another thing is I feel pretty bad when I'm "that" guy who chooses to kick a player with a score of 1 going in to a silver match. I just imagine that player on the other side of the screen scratching their head and going "huh? What just happened?"
*edit: Just want to reiterate my thoughts. It's not a player skill related issue. It's just simply that a no-level, not-geared player is going to be a huge burden to anyone else participating in the silver match. I've been playing insanity-difficulty games since ME1 and even I know I'd be worthless with a level 1 characters/guns in silver. Heck, playing silver with randoms is practically impossible as it stands even without the clueless level 1s.

Make the default be "Challenge: Bronze" and then let people bump it up to Silver when they are ready.

I play on 360, and everytime I try to REVIVE someone, its freakin horrible.
One of two things happens. (every time.)
ONE: My character will be beside a fallen ally, who just so happens to be next to a wall, and when I try to revive him, MY CHARACTER GOES TO COVER INSTEAD. Now, not only am I entirely over-run by enemies, the dude lying there is dead, and probably really pissed with ME.
OR
TWO: The game or my character gets confused and doesn't revive the fallen friend when I hold down "A". So, instead of reviving him/her ON THE FIRST TRY, I have to sit there, and try executing a revive 3 or 4 times, before my character does so. (Not to mention, I'M BEING PLASTERED BY ENEMY FIRE IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS MISCOMMUNICATION.)
Try to level with me. I literally shut off my game, and went to the computer to type this. Seriously, like 15 minutes ago this happened, but its been a reoccuring nuisance for a while now.
Fix it plz?
