Just wanted to say this again in hopes devs read it, I'm loving the difficulty. Please don't change it.

Bronze is much harder than I expected, but I do enjoy the challenge (and it is a challenge).
It took me and my buddy almost 10 tries before we figured out how not to wipe (I'm not a total noob, I beat ME2 on insanity with my vanguard)

Loving the difficulty!

Gold is so intense. Phantoms start spawning at wave 3 xD

With a good team, i've managed to get to wave 7 twice and 8 once. :D

I think most people are used to the standard multi-package where they can jump in to a match and start kicking in head right away. This is not the case with MP based on an RPG series, you have to level a little before you can wade in and Warp/tear your enemies into bloody bits. It isn't easy right away, but find a team, show some skill, stick with it for a little careful grinding and the reward of badassary is well worth it.

I LOVE the difficulty. Currently I've been able to 2 man Silver, hopefully I can 1-man it eventually. Gold is just insanity xD I'd need an army... Or a really good team.

Same. Two-manning silver is difficult with just a Vanguard and Infiltrator though. Those Atlases man! D:>
One isn't much of a threat. Two? :o
Wow. Not to mention the Phantoms. It's why I love playing with an Adept on my squad. Or, alternatively, playing the (luckily) unlocked Asari adept who uses Sniper Rifles (and sometimes) SMGs. Stasis. Headshot. Headshot. Warp. Dead. :wizard:

But yeah. At first, Bronze seemed rather difficult. Once my character was about level 10 or so, Silver wasn't terribly difficult. Still a challenge sometimes though, even with a level 18 Vanguard.  Don't even want to think about Gold just yet.

Out of curiosity.. anyone else try and solo bronze?

It's a good challenge, very much doable depending on objectives (a hack/download objective will probably get you.)

Got to level 10 solo as an Infiltrator and was just about to beat it except the internet kicked out.

If anything I'm worried it's too easy, but I'm not sure I get a vote!

My first match was Silver, oh god... I lasted about twenty five seconds. Bronze was much easier for me to wade into.

Well this post makes me happy. As does the ME3 co-op. :wizard:

Please keep the difficulty! It plays great as it is, if there's any change, up the difficulty instead!!!

@Drinking Shepard: Multiplayer is for players to face a nice challenge together, just because you can't complete 10 waves easily on bronze doesn't mean its not well balanced. Winning/completing the 10 waves is not the point. Its about teamwork and knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your team and the enemy, fighting the best you can. I think that's the main reason you still get exp and credits for waves/objectives completed. To work your way towards being stronger/better.

Remember, the story is that you are facing insurmountable odds? If you still think its poorly balanced, then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Just my 2 cents :)

in the few games i played we burned out bronze beat all  11 waves thats was yesterday, but today cant even get past 3 due people wont revive or wont follow the blue arrows to the objective and or leave after they die which will reset the current wave and cause us to go back to killing everything that we already killed on that wave to the second blue objective

but yea keep the difficulty, maybe increase the shields on the atlas one missile will kill it regardless on silver or bronze, also sometimes a ai will stay around a corner and just stay there even walk up to it and wont move till you shoot when its not stealthed!

Holy triple post, Batman!

(says the guy that just made an accidental double)

Anyway, the difficulty is fine. Bronze becomes a cakewalk once you figure it out and have a decent team, but Silver... Oh geez...

THIS is what I want to hear :)

No offense but too many games, Bioware included, is holding the gamers hands TOO MUCH. Its nice to be able to actually fight against a challenge!

But then again, I am a Demon's Souls/Dark Souls fan.

I find silver actually enjoyable, finally i start die quick before wave 10, and damn my tendency to go for the big ones, these atlases draw me off from spamming the phantoms with warp, love it, now if i would just have some reasonable weapons besides my pistol.... (anyone wanna trade for a predator8....)

PLEASE keep it as hard as it is. It's perfect right now. I have been playing the last two days and have been very successful on Bronze, usually making it through the final wave most times, and decided to try my hand at silver. I promptly had my butt handed to me on a dish. I love it and cant wait to get good at silver. Seriously can't imagine how nuts Gold is

So, I just beat Silver in a two man squad. It netted ~165K XP and ~35K credits. All I have to say is holy ****... wave 10 had 5 Atlas mechs inside the room where we had to data upload the hack... you can only imagine the carnage. Proof is here: http://i.imgur.com/Yv6yz.jpg

I was so excited that I couldn't think of anything besides snap a pic with my iphone. If anyone is down for taking on Gold tomorrow, send me an invite to ownage_machine on the PSN.

Cheers

Ok. I'll admit it. I was leery of having multiplayer in ME3. I'm still unsure if adding MP detracted any from the SP experience, but having played the MP portion of the demo, I am cautiously optimistic about the total package that will be ME3.

This MP absolutely rocks. I'm using a human Adept (unlocked Asari adept, but I prefer the singularity/warp combo) and just hit lvl 15. I'm not a highly skilled player, so Bronze was a challenge for me until I hit level 12 or so. Now it's easier, but can still lose a match if the team messes up. Only tried silver for a coupla matches, got to level 6 on one.

Is it challenging? Absolutely, but not in that frustratingly difficult way that I hate so much. It's fun, and when I die, it's easy to see that it's because I f***ed up, not because of some cheezy b.s. from the enemy A.I. I'm having a blast, and this is only the demo! Can't WAIT for the full version. I'm almost as excited to play the MP portion as I am the SP portion, and that's a huge endorsement from me, considering the last MP game I bought was Star Wars: Battlefront 2!!

Keep everything exactly the way it is, except the random item packages. Those bug me, but it's a minor quibble at worst.

It's not too easy, it can be still hard for those who get started with the game. And it's fun to have to worry less about difficulty blasting your enemies up with your squaddies. It's just more "relaxing" than the Silver and Gold. People who want tight teamwork and challenge, can go for Silver and Gold. Atm, I don't have any friends who play the game, so I have to do it with randoms and it's not very desirable thing to have if the game was harder.

:)
