Please just add level restrictions. NO level 1 player is going to be able to play Silver much less Gold.

A forumite and I had a really great time - played for a couple of hours, a couple times on bronze, the rest on silver. Wow! It was HARD sometimes - but we won most of the time. Always 100000+ experience. One time I even got 180000. I've got to say...infiltrators are one of the best classes. Salarians anyway. Cloak, energy drain to stun and deplete those with shields and shoot off a quick shot with sniper to get benefit of cloak increase damage.

We need to have a level requirement for Silver and Gold. I can't tell you the amount of times I search for a silver game and find players level 5 and lower trying to play it. Idiots. Have they not played Mass Effect? You need a pretty high leveled character just to attempt higher difficulties.

Must have a lot of CoD people playing this demo. Never played an RPG in their lives.

Err first of all don't stereotype Call of Duty players it's childish and unbecoming of you. I enjoy COD as well as all other types of games so I take personal offense.

Second I agree wholeheartedly about the level requirement. Bioware please pay attention to this.

Just beat gold with three players. Took 52 minutes. Crazy. 2 asari adepts and one female infiltrator. Most fun I've had in awhile. Too bad some of the phantoms glitched out and wouldn't allow you to stasis them =_=. That was scary.

Yeah, I rarely actually find a silver match, and when I do it's usually with one other person :( but difficulty is great, love the challenge, the gaming industry is very lacking in co-op team work oriented difficult horde/firefight games that don't have you rage quitting cause you just died three times in a row at the hands of the SAME GOD DAMN PHANTOM, and I don't ge angry when I get an assist, I just feel like we pulled off good teamwork. Last night, best feeling, team was up against three Nemesis and a Phantom + a cr*p load of Troopers and a bunch of Guardians, it was no longer a fight to complete the objective, or get points or finish the mission, it became a fight for survival, and after many deaths, many cluster grenades/ biotics combos and a heap of revivals, we came out on top and we felt like we were Garus Vakarian, a few games later, me (human sentinel) moh panda poo (I think that's how you spell his name, salarian engineer) and a Krogan soldier + a low level human Adept were on silver I think, and when the second Atlas shows up we all eventually die off one by one, but that scrawny Salarian bastard survives it all and to top it off kills the remaining enemies and Atlas all by himself, the rest of the team and I were just watching him going, "no way, oh my god.... You've got to be kidding me" but he pulled it off. Then we proceeded to get pummeled into the ground the very next round.

I've only played the Soldier so far, here my impression :

- With a new char you can go through 1. difficulty at the first try, even if you are not a pro but have a solid team.
- At silver the enemies are appreciable tougher, but it's also in the 1. try possible, when you have maxed Ally-Training, maxed Fitness, and played 1. difficulty some times.
- Gold will be the real question of skill, which i have not reached yet ^^

Hi everyone,

We wanted to make you aware of something that could impact your experience if you are just getting started: sometimes when people are matched up via Quick Match, the challenge level will be set to Silver, rather than Bronze. If you are just getting started, this could prove to be a very difficult (and likely frustrating!) experience. Therefore, we recommend that when you are starting a quick match you check the difficulty level (top of the screen): Silver and Gold are considerably harder than Bronze and not designed for starting characters.

So I am now trying to complete the Gold challenge and found myself many times in a group with 3 people under lvl 5, does that mean that they purposedly queued for Gold? (I guess so since my random matches were always Bronze or Silver).

Not to be a jerk but it might be a good idea to restrict the Gold Challenge to a certain lvl. I'm sorry but if you are lvl 1-5 and probably <10 you are not going to help much and it's already a pain to find a decent group for Gold.

Also it seems that there is an issue, when you specify your challenge (here Gold) sometimes you end in a group for a lower challenge...

Bronze is to warm up, and the levels dont say much, got a l1 soldier with me today who went all way through silver without dieing and to extraction with me, 2 l10 i had died every other second basically

This is as much about skills as about how you develop your class, love that very damn ****ing alot (insert more swears here to show how much bioware proved my oppinion wrong)

Any other sentinels here? i feel quite alone with my prefered class

I would love to play Sentinel, but I'm waiting for the Turian to unlock.  Is the human Sentinel any good?  I haven't tried throw yet so I've been skeptical.

well the good of the human sentinel is that you can make biotic combos by yourself , and with lvl 1 trow you cand own the guardians

I havn't read the whole thread yet, so someone might have already said this. But the key is having a good team. After all, it is co-op – as in "cooperation." And teamwork is the real difference between life and death on ANY difficulty. Whenever my I loose a match, it's because someone was off doing their own thing and then the rest of us were in no position to help them from across the map. High level characters, better weapons, diverse class combination, they all help – but the most important thing is staying together. One time on the Noveria map, I found myself caught in the stairway enterence to the interior area between two Cerberus Troopers with a few more coming in from the stairs. My shields were down and there was no way I'd be able to take even one of those enemies down at the rate my health was vanishing. Luckily my team was in the next room at a hacking objective. I made a mad dash right between a couple of guardians and managed to take cover next to my buddies with only a sliver of health left. Coincidentally, that also happened to be the first time I successfully completed a match, and the whole team made it to the extraction shuttle. It also fits with the overall theme of Mass Effect 3... Everyone needs to band together to have any chance of defeating the Reapers. And from everything I've experienced in the demo, the multiplayer is no different in that regard.

Just played Gold.

This is an extremely difficult level to play even with 4 people communicating. We got up to wave 7 but that was an 28 minute game. You really need to get your characters level up for this kinda play. The level 4 engineer got down alot of times for just peaking out of cover. Nemeis are ridiculous. The only thing that really got us far was my Asari and the Statis "Bubble" power, additionally we had good teammork like me suggeting to others we deal with the infantry and take out all 3-4 atlas last.

Gold is really difficult but with high level classes is more then doable, I would like to see an increase in available equipment in this challenge though.

Silver is challenging, but not as challenging as Gold. I agree that Bronze is a warm-up and easy for experienced players, but to newer players its still a challenge.

If I could rate these challenge levels it would be:
Bronze = Normal/Veteran Difficulty - standard difficulty and enemies
Silver = Hardcore - harder difficulty and slightly more special enemies (2 atlas for example)
Gold = Insane. - insane difficulty and more special enemies (4 atlas).

Overall these challenge level are challenging, but I do still support level restrictions. I'm not saying a newer person shouldn't be able to play a higher challenge, I just feel that they need to level up there character to be able to deal with higher challenge levels.

I was able to beat bronze the other night with just me and one other good player. Mind you, that was my level 15 human adept and he was a level 16 krogan soldier, but it wasn't difficult. I also have yet to complete a silver round. I think I've died trying silver on wave 9 or 10 a good 4 or 5 times.

I love the difficulty. Don't nerf it, please. But DO add an N7 level restriction on silver and gold difficulties, please.

The diificulty a lot tougher than it should be, especially for quick match. Very unbalanced and therefore barely appealing. Dear BW, you should have learned from the Battlefield developing team more than just new cool sounds.

Difficulty is fine imo, the problem is team mates running off solo and getting incapacitated, then someone else get incapacitated trying to save him.

If you have 4 good players gold is easy. Just beat is with 3 friends. 2 asari adepts with sniper rifle and 2 spy's with sniper rifles. The only difficulty is like 10 and 11 wave, when you have phantom after phantom, after phantom etc. Specially when they glitch sometimes and you can't use stasis on it, because they are somehow immune to it :/ Other then that its okay. And Atlas is easy, just have to shoot **** load to it.

The difficulty is awesome. Don't nerf it. Perhaps add a "copper" level for people to train on that gives you almost no experience.

MP is beast, im playing so much trying to get vet packs to unlock the krogan soldier. I already have a lvl 20 soldier with pretty much maxed gear atm. Still the krogan is illusive to me no matter how many packs i open up. A buddy of mine actually got it with his second vet pack. I was pissed! I want that damn krogan so bad or the krogan adept. That would be beast! I still havent even unlocked the upgraded assualt rifle. I have the single shot but not the LMG or better avenger type assualt rifle. Even on silver if you have a team that has not upgraded their health to take the dmg or knows how to use the cover system you will see your team die quickly. Silver makes you actually plan your moves and use team work. Silver is really hard to go solo unless your a soldier that runs adrenaline with the dmg reduction like crazy and able to use skills while in adrenaline. Then its pretty easy to just pop that and run away while throwing concussion shots at people knocking them away from you. Guadians go down so easy with concussion shots i almost feel bad for them when the shield goes flying off their hands. For snipers its perfect since the slit in the guardians shield is ironically the head of them so easy pickings for any sinpers even soldier ones. Overall i will play multiplayer until i get my dang krogan and get him max lvl. Hopefully but i doubt we will get to keep any MP unlocks from the demo and its just for fun at this time but it would be cool to keep your unlocks and then unlock the higeher tier stuff when the full game comes out.

As for the unlock system, I love it and hate it at the same time. When you open the pack up hoping to get somehting and you get the same gun from a 20k vet case three times in a row as a rare gun its a little aggrivating. I got the M-8 claymore shot three times in a row and I dont even have the krogan who needs the gun to run around with it properly. The system is great but getting these weapons more then once that slightly and i mean slightly powers them up by one point per unlcok is a little lame. I mean i have gotten the avenger 6 times now. It only makes a big difference every 5 lvls for a weapon. Once you get to 5 from one you see a change in the gun. but getting there is like throwing money away. I would rather get more customisation like actual armor peices or different weapon mods or different weapons for that matter. The unlocking the characters is cool and all but playing for days after days and never getting the one thing you want to play in the first place is a little unfair. I know the unlock system is just beta at the moment but if it stays the same as it is now with just more stuff added and a little tweaking on what you unlock per case. you may never get certain things in the game unlocked ever no matter how many packs you open up. I would make in the unlock crates that you unlock more items you have never unlocked before, before giving players the same gun they just unlocked with 20k over and over again. Thats my opinion on the situation. As for the rest of MP its amazing and i cant wait to see what other enemys we can fight in MP besides cerberus. Hopefully we can get our asses kicked by a bunch of femal krogans xD

As much as I am enjoying the challenge of the matches, I do think that there ought to be some sort scaling on the quantity of enemies for how many players there are in the game; that way you could have a more variable difficulty, and yet still be able to have it be appropriately challenging.

I have only 1 gripe about the MP. It goes something like this (mind you, I understand its beta, but please fix in full game)

Ah yes, Let me open the Veteran Pack! THAT REVENANT WILL BE MINE!
