I have been unable to reach the toolset download page from http://social.biowar...t.php#downloads as the tab labelled 'downloads' remains on the overview page.
I've been looking forward to adding to my playable area and this error is quite frustrating. Using IE8 and yes I realize some will say to use Firefox, however that is not quite the issue is it?
Could I get a direct link to the download area please?
Thank you!

I have the same problem for 2 days. There are other sites that claim to have the the toolset download. I am going to try to get it from there and hope it's not malware.

What do you guys see when you go to that link?
You should see three tabs:
Features | Downloads | Gallery
With the Downloads active.
Below it, should be a header that says "Installer Downloads" with a buttons that says "Download" and the installer size (472 MB) next to it.
Is that not what you guys see?

Also, what browsers are you using? Do you have javascript enabled?

Javascript is enabled, Windows7 & IE8 (current).
I see the three tabs (defaulting to features). When I try and select the download tab there is no perceptible response.
I do see there is an error notice 'Error on page' in the taskbar area of IE8, however it is not terribly helpful and a rightclick fails to reveal more.
I appreciate the alertness of this community!

When you go to the link, the downloads tab isn't enabled already? Which tab is active?
Also, try just going to http://social.bioware.com/toolset.php
Is the tab then able to be interacted with?

Features is the default. The tabs for downloads and gallery are greyed, I assumed because they were not the active subform, and the links appear dynamic and active... They simply don't work.

When I use your link it is the Features tab that is active. That subform displays a Features section with screenshot thumbnail (which does maximize on clicking), and a description area with another screenshot thumbnail.
Neither the downloads tab nor the gallery tab work. They appear as if they were fully functional, but take me nowhere.
I echo Burls thoughtful thanks!

Don't know if this helps, but all links/tabs, etc. seem to work fine for me using Google Chrome.
I am using the following link: http://social.biowar...t.php#downloads
When I try and use this with IE 8, it does not work. It let's you click "Download", but nothing happens when you click (unlike Chrome where it goes to the download tab)
The Gallery link doesn't work, either.
I am on IE 8.0.6001.18828
Hope this helps

Could for sure be a bug with IE8.
Try firefox and/or google chrome like Adaram suggests. Also, just to confirm, you guys have registered the game on the website, right? Not just through the game, but on the social site?
http://social.biowar...es_register.php
Go there and let me know if the entry for Dragon Age Origins PC says "Click here to register game" or if it says "Click here to remove registration".

Yup, I too just double-checked...something broke with IE8. I'm assuming they know, but I'll PM the Biowebdudes and let them know.
Sorry about that!

Astorax, could you add the latest versions (4.0.3 and 4.0.4) of Safari to the list of affected browsers? I started seeing this happen for myself last night using Safari.

I am using IE8an't download the toolset either and I have tryed for days. Download link seems active but doesn't work. Is IE so rare among DA modders that Bioware doesn't think it important enough to fix it?

Chances are they very much care to fix it, but there are other priorities involved and/or they didn't yet know it was broken because they don't re-download the toolset all the time.
I've notified the powers that be and hopefully we'll get a fix in place for it soon.

I am using Firefox and have tried downloading the toolset several times (and from different sources) and always its an error message first which stops the download, but it can be restarted on the downloads tab and seems to work fine. The file size at the end is 0kb and the whole download didnt really work.

I succeeded in downloading it now and either "they" changed something OR the download doesnt work properly if you have the game itself running in the background!
