I've been trying to figure out what the deal is every since this story cropped up!

I haven't been able to find a single website substantiating this story, not only that but USA Today doesn't even cite a source! It's gotta be a joke.

Agreed. I think it's pretty neat.

People were going to get to play the game early, anyway, because that's how things roll. It's a very unique way to get it into the hands of a few, very lucky fans.

If I was the marketing boss I'd done that to begin with. Build a live reaper, indoctrinate everyone to buy ME, etc. But obviously they rather spend their money on silly things like demos and trailers.
