No, I'm not actually asking you, BSN, but if any of you has some light to shed on this or had the same thing happen to them, I'd like to know.

I'm a level 15 infiltrator, and I've been kicked out of the lobby quite a number of times today. Never happened to me before. Why? Is it because I'm an infiltrator (c'mon, they're awesome!)? Am I too low/high level? Is it because of my mods/bonuses/equipment? Because I don't have a mic? Or because I'm stumbling into a group of friends that, for some reason, do not want me?

Seeing as no one ever explains why they're kicking you out, I have to wonder if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just common behavior to kick people out for the reasons mentioned above (cue "deal with it" gif). Any input?

*scratches head* The only time I've been in groups where we've kicked someone, is when we've all flagged ourselves as Ready, while the last person remains idle, and doesn't respond to voice chat prompts to deploy.

I am in the same boat. Low level character and the others were much higher. Really wish they would put something in for those of us just starting to play on line so we can actually get a game! I can understand why the high level guys don't want to bother. But if they make this part of the game they need to figure this out.

What level was the lobby?
How long did it take you to ready up?
What weapons did you have?
Is it possible there's a problem with your mic?

Did you pick a bronze level lobby?

I don't get it either. My best explanation is that they just don't like you, for whatever reason.

I got into a lobby on my lvl 20 Engineer w/ Carnifax... and within 3 seconds I have two Xs on my name. If I remember right we had a pretty balanced comp, so other than the fact that they just didn't like the character I wanted to play that game, I have no idea why I was practically insta-kicked.

Kind of odd thread to necro...

Are you joining Silver/Gold lobbies with a low level character? Because that's a sure way to get kicked if the team doesn't want to babysit you.

If they are kicking you on Bronze, well...then they are just stupid and you don't want to play with them anyways. Because honestly, no one should kick on Bronze unless you're taking too long to ready up.

It's weird. I got two peeps try to vote me out of my own lobby today but I was playing with a freind and he was all "lolzwut? you're over level 200 n7 and your solider is rocking a falcon VI... they smoking crack?"

So in the end, it didn't matter since my freind of course wasn't gonna kick me, lol.

Real funny thing is right before just me and him rocked the game with just the two of us, granted it was bronze but hey, small victories. Right after we played one match with them, we moved on to silver with two other freinds and did just fine, better then fine really, we kicked ass.

Anybody who says gun classes are underpowered are doing it WRONG because we tore it up. I think the main thing is lag spikes where the guns start to do no damage but biotics and tech powers still mostly function and that's a real problem that needs to be addressed. Not nerfing nor buffing. Just getting them to preform as they should.

I played a round with some guys last night on bronze... I placed 1st out of 4 with a level 17 soldier, 75+ kills, and over 45000 points. As soon as we get back to the lobby someone votes to kick me. Noone else joins in, so then that person gets mad and leaves. I have NO idea what would have prompted that guy to put the vote in.

Maybe he didn't like winning?

I was hosting a bunch of gold matches today. Kept getting low lvl ppl (below 10) with bad weapons constantly joining. It was a kickfest for about 15 minutes. At first I was pointing out to them that they were probably not ready for gold, but that got old fast, and they rarely ever left. Eventually the last slot filled with a 70-ish n7 with a lvl 18 quarian infiltrator and sane weapon choices, and the two other ppl I was with still wanted to kick him. Maybe they just got kick happy? Or maybe they had some kind of prejudice against quarians?  Anyways, the guy I convinced them to let stay ended up almost tying me for 1st place in points.  The other two ppl got something like 10-20% of the points that we did.

I've actually never been kicked myself (my N7/epeen rating of 360+ seems to help), but the more kick-happy people generally seem to perform worse than the more "tolerant" ones. There is a definite and pretty obvious correlation I've seen.

Point being - if you keep running into ppl who want to kick you... you're probably better off that way.

Get a group of 3 together, waiting for the 4th to accept the invite, anyone joining the lobby gets kicked. I've been on both ends.

If you're doing Bronze you should take it easy. There's winning--which is basically a given on Bronze--but there's also people having fun. In his position, if everything is dying before he takes a shot at it, how is that enjoyable? It becomes 15 minutes of watching someone else have fun and I think it's reasonable to kick when that happens.

I'm not saying you shouldn't do anything but do you REALLY need to frag grenade the spawn room trying for the killstreak? If two people are shooting down a corridor do you REALLY need to snipe everything out from under them? I'll admit to doing both and laughing about it but I normally at least make an attempt to not be a jerk.

I only boot when everyone is rady for about 30 seconds but 1 person who seems to be too dumb to ready up. I also vote to boot people who are being dumb and trying to be levels 1 - 15 on gold like seriously ... you trying to get killed instantly?

Only kicked when not paying attention and readying up in lobby, so fair enough. Only time I'll kick too (and if you're too low-level for the match settings).

It's usually more an issue of everyone else dying and me having to play every wave by myself.  That, and most people generally having no idea how to play.  I find that most people online are morons, and that just makes things worse on team-dependant games.  I find that even on bronze, it's a total crap shoot in terms if you win or lose.  My last game before posting this message, I posted a score of over 60000.  The next closest guy was less than 30000.  Some guys spent over half of the match dead because they insisted on running off alone to take on enemies while we were trying to arm the 4 objectives.  I ended up doing 3 of those myself... the last one with all other 3 teammates dead... so I had to arm and clear all remaining opposition by myself.

I'm all for people "having fun," but not wasting 20 minutes of MY life because they can't play.

Hah I was using a Level 20 Turian Sentinel today, searching for a good gold lobby. I got into one with three level 20 Quarian Infiltrators who had Geth as the enemy. They kicked me out. I mean wtf, a Sentinel is a great buffer and damage-dealer complement to Quarian Infiltrators... not to mention my N7 rating was higher than all of theirs and I am pretty well-versed in fighting on gold. Those d-bags.

Don't worry about it. As soon as you get kicked just hit Quick Match & try again. Eventually you'll get in a game. Could be a ton of reason why they kicked you. But it's a waste of time thinking about it. Just move to the next match.

I hardly ever get kicked but I have the problem of getting on teams I don't want to be on. They either don't revive teammates, don't do the objectives, run off by themselves & get killed constantly etc. After the match is over I kick myself & start up with another group.

Anyone under level 15 will get the kick in sliver from me. I just can't be bothered to babysit people who can't learn to hold a section. Play bronze and comeback to sliver for your last 5 levels so you can be competent. Gold and sliver need to have level locks so newbs don't enter (too many times I have seen 1-10 N7 doing sliver).

Lost too many games due to to 1 person leaving (that 1 person can make or break the 5-11 wave).

I'm amazed that people claim (no offense OP) to get kicked a lot. I call perceptual bias.

Or the usual culprits for getting kicked:
-low level for Silver or Gold
-bad weapon loadout (Adept with a Sniper Rifle and Shotgun? Byebye)
-taking ages to get ready in the lobby
-Vanguard

I have been kicked only a very few times.
After promoting (to skill respecc) and starting out again as a lvl 1 (Some people understandably feel a lvl 1 doesn't bring much to a game) I get some kicks, but it only takes a single Bronze match to get to 5+ and this stops.
When playing my Vanguard and that I understand as well. While there are some good Vanguards out there, there are just too many bad apples out there. Loads of them are score hogs that tend to charge and die far away from the team.

Now I can't see I play much (perceptual bias here may apply as well, seeing I have an N7 rating of 200+), but I doubt there is much kicking going on from my experience. More often I had to exit the lobby because the 3rd person didn't kick.

Tell me.

Do you spend a lot of time (over 30 seconds and minute is a lot of time for people who want to play) tweaking your gear in menu, before pressing ready? I usualy vote for kick at people who don't tweak their gear on their own time that seem to take ages to do it.

But that's about it.
