[Tyrannosaurus Rex]

After completing all 11 waves alone on Firebase Ghost on bronze with the Krogan soldier. I was wondering if anyone else have managed to solo an entire match on the higher difficulties? Or are the enemies just too tough there?

I got to Gold wave 5 by myself on my Infiltrator. I got to 9 on Silver.

Thats pretty good. Even with two other players I always get killed on wave 5-6 on silver!

Gold challenge is just a mess of atlas and specialist troop spam, I can't possibly see anyone making that on solo.

Got to wave 8 on infiltrator just impossible to cap points when they send multiple phantoms who I think can see you when you use stealth.

Infiltrator with Proxy/tactical cloak specializing in + damage and head shot damage can kill most units in one shot.  Also if you stealth in cover they enemy will shoot where they last saw you allowing easy flanking/kiting.  Though I think Phantoms can see you even while hidden.

I've soloed bronze and I'ven gotten far with silver with a vanguard but I have to get more more levels if I want to solo it on gold. The only problem I get with soloing is the effing one hit kills (from phantom and atlas) that ruin my build and gameplan with vanguard

Well i managed to solo bronze with both my infiltrator and my vanguard at around lvl 8 infiltrator and lvl 10 vanguard.
I've tried my hand at silver gettin at around wave 6 i think with my infiltrator but it just takes so long to play alone and my xp gain and cash gain gets slower when soloing so i usually try for a full group.
I did get a bit sad a few minitues ago seeing as they said on twitter nothing get's kept in the multiplayer gains we have done so thinking about stopping with putting down so much effort in it.
Also am i the only one gettin the exact same characters all the time in my boxes while wishing for new one's? The only extra i have is a salarian infiltrator

The game has gotten stupid easy, so it's not that players were bad it's that the game is easier.

Yeah, I've only played this game for a few months, so I only know about the game post balance changes. But was bronze and silver soloing really that difficult? I wish I could play THAT game...

This game has evolved so much in a year. Not only that but BSN has a lot of resources that just weren't available then.

Back then there weren't any players posting 10 waves survived Platinum solos, cuz who had the manifest or the hours invested back then? Now you can watch your choice of 20 different ones and learn about the game that way, along with all the other knowledge available on this site.

did solo bronze silver and gold. never bothered with platinum due to boss fest in there.

I remember the good old bronze days, running around with my human soldier and raptor without armor piercing, thinking it was amazing because of how it could kill ravagers with a couple clips...

It's not just balance changes.  There was no gear slot, no level 4 ammo, and the in-game consumable limits were lower.  With the exception of those who jumped to Gold immediately upon launch and farmed credits like mad, most people didn't even have 5 of each consumable available in a given match (the limit for each at the time save for those unlocked more during the first two weeks when the limit was 10) for some time.  Then there's power creep among both abilities and weapons to consider; there was no Flamer/acolyte or Reegar cheese, and nobody had discovered things like the Incindiary/DoT-stacking glitch back then.  Mod selection was also much poorer for weapons.

You could always delete the dlc's.

Can you believe the power creep though?

We didnt have: TGI, GI, Destroyer, Kroguard, AIU, GT. Man, what did we do back then, anyway? Kroldier solos?

Good point! Might be worth a shot to compare it to soloing nowadays.
