Explanation: Partial extraction +5000 XP, Full extraction +15000 XP!

EDIT: I got an idea of your posts in here: Get rid of the Partial and full extraction bonuses and  make it so that everyone who is in the extraction point gets +5000XP and its shared among those who were in the extraction point but dont give it to the "Rambo" who didnt make it.

I also believe that people just dont realise that you get a nice bonus from being in there and that it isnt irrelevant if you are there or not.

That happens a lot. People don't realise there's a bit bonus for being retrieved from the battle it seems.

Personally, I like to stay out of the extraction zone till there is about 10-20 seconds left, but I still stay near it. Reason being that if everyone is huddled in the zone and you get swarmed, you are screwed, but if you stay out a bit from it, you have a place to fall back to and then push out of again if need be.

You speak the truth, though most of the time we aim to fall back at around the 30 second mark. If everyone else is already there though I'll go since it is better to stick with the team.

This is what I've been doing, especially since the "extration point" is on both maps in the worst possible place to defend, especially on the non snow map.  Stay on higher ground until the last 30 seconds or so

I remember barely winning the Full extraction. this one guy charged ahead and tried to shoot everything for last minute points and had his foot in the exfil. right as the buzzer went to zero....I almost seriously chewed him out for that.

I'm already at the extraction before the announcer says to get there, best spot to hold the line imo

Strangely enough, I've never had any of my teammates run off during the extraction phase.

I always stay in the extraction spot and snipe enemies for my teammates, I still have the mantis and I don't kill the enemies, I only weaken them so my teammates can kill them in 1-2 shots.

But yeah I had 1 teammate krogan who didn't get in the extraction point, the other people said they marked him as an avoided player haha.

I ended up getting that in a normal round before extraction, you could probably get it during extraction as well

I always stay the extraction point as well, but I am a infilrator so i cloak a lot and one shot almost all the enemies. Actually ended up having to do the extraction part with one other person who went down in the last 10 seconds since we got swarmed ended up cloaking and got a success on the mission instead of a fail.

I never leave it after round 10. Plus it's not that hard to keep from getting swarmed there as long as people pay attention and are spread out enough.

Or land enoguh headshots. It is possible with the mantis. With the widow you can even steamroll guardians (takes more practice with a mantis, or good teamwork), so holding out at the extraction point becomes free points. Don't know about gold thoguh. Could be a bit too rough with all the Atlases about.

I only got partial extraction once on the snow map. I'm sitting in the extraction point with 10 seconds left when I see two geniuses running like monkeys from the hallway fleeing from a pack of enemies. It was...quite entertaining.

Side-Note: Saying "Get to the Extraction" reminds me of two things: PTFO for BF3 and "GET TO THE CHOPPA"

Back to topic: seriously...stay in the zone....let the enemy come to you. All I gotta say.

Well, I think get to the point rightaway is seriously a bad idea. It's an open ground, and you'd be sitting duck for Atlas to take you out. I always stay away as long as I can and support my team by trying to push them for behind as many as I could.

It's fine on the icebase, pleny of wide open firelanes. But in slums there's not enough cover and the enemy have the advantage of highground.

I always rush the extraction and never have any troubles even on the slums. I sit in the extraction zone all round. Plenty of cover to go around and as long as everyone is covering separate sight lines, you don't have to even worry about getting shot much or swarmed. When an atlas shows up, use a missile if you have any left, or get your entire group to concentrate fire on it. Two or three guys can kill an atlas faster than one.

Extraction point in Noveria has more cover, easier to stay in the LZ. In Benning, its more difficult so I hang around in cover around it.

Staying close to your team means an res easily on the other hand.
