I've yet to have a single problem holding the line during the extraction.

Personally, I like to stay out of the extraction zone till there is about 10-20 seconds left, but I still stay near it. Reason being that if everyone is huddled in the zone and you get swarmed, you are screwed, but if you stay out a bit from it, you have a place to fall back to and then push out of again if need be.

You speak the truth, though most of the time we aim to fall back at around the 30 second mark. If everyone else is already there though I'll go since it is better to stick with the team.

Indeed. Also, be sure someone takes out the Atlas as soon as it spawns in Round 11 and you'll never have an issue.

For bronze, yeah, whatever, it doesn't really matter.

For silver, it's seriously unadvised. We usually hang around in the office at the stairs in Noveria or in the upper house in the city map where there's a huge open space to shoot stuff up. You really don't want that 3 atlases (and some trash like 6 guardians and 4 phantoms) in your face. You won't have enough firepower to kill them fast enough and why on earth would you want to use rockets if you don't have to? So just hang around further and at the 0:45 mark run back to the LZ.

I have yet to reach that point on gold, but I think it's even more stupid to try to hold that point there.

Kill the Atlas first then go to the extraction point. But, yeah. I've run into too many selfish idiots that stay all the way in t front just to get a few more kills. I don't let the enemy flank us but i always head to the extraction point once there's 20 seconds or so left on the countdown.

I always head there straight away but it is a bit of a disadvantage and boring ending for a Vanguard. Sure I can get some assists and a kill or two but there's not much to do for a close range combatant. If only I could Biotic Charge without a target.

Actually at least on Bronze on the Noveria map I've found the extraction point is actually pretty defensible. Taking cover behind the front of the ship there gives you a clear line of sight at all the enemy approach lanes so assuming you can take out the Atlas before it gets to you you've not got a whole lot to worry about.

I'm already at the extraction before the announcer says to get there, best spot to hold the line imo

I wish there was some kind of penalty for repeat offenders. I played 3 games in a row where some dude missed the EZ (the team was good as a whole, so I stuck with them). First time I thought ok, maybe he's inexperienced, but then he kept on doing it. Is this a new form of griefing? There's no p2p, so is this what trolls can do to mess with people??

There is also the Lone Survivor, +1500 I think.

I ended up getting that in a normal round before extraction, you could probably get it during extraction as well

Whats that? Ive also got 5 rounds survived and a few killstreaks

Lone survivior is when you complete a round as the last person on a team

I got that bonus being the only member at the extraction point while everyone was still firing. No one was down.

The only time anyone was too stupid to get extracted was the time the host was AFC and got blown up thirty seconds into the final wave.

I always run straight to the extraction point. Last night, one guy did miss the bell.

Also, the Benning LZ has plenty of cover. It's harder on Noveria, but I've done fine every time.

Bronze straight to Extraction Point
On Silver and Gold you better lock yourself on a good spot and run to extraction when times come.

So true. The biggest problem on silver or gold is getting to round 11   ( for me at least :P )

On lower difficulties [Bronze] there shouldn't be any problems. If you're worried about an Atlas there's bound to be some missles waiting for them. Guardians ask for Frags and/or headshots ... The rest of the things that would show up on lower difficulties are easy enough to take care of.

I've only played on Silver a couple of times but I don't recall Phantoms trying to charge you so even on Silver it shouldn't be too bad.

I've only had a couple of people that didn't get it but if we see someone starting to wander off that's what MICS are for ... call them back and most will listen.

Experienced players know before the last wave hits to be at the extraction point. There's basically really 2 points to cover, and there's 4 of you...pretty easy, straightforward.

Had a player today that didn't come the the extraction point and died in the last second. It is tempting to charge about until the last 20 seconds or so but there is the risk of dying and people not wanting to risk saving you. I had a dude today who wouldn't even revive me when he was standing right next to me at the extraction point, had to use a medigel in the end. I'll always try to save someone if I can but not everyone is so kind so you really do have to be careful if your playing with strangers (or just cruel friends) and don't have any medigel.

LoL I know, generally speaking at around 30-45 sec everyone should move back to the extraction if not there already, safe not sorry :)

It's probably been mentioned already, but I'm going to say it again.

Getting back to the extraction point does not mean that you have to sit there and defend that point. It means holding off enemy forces well enough to give yourself some breathing room once you make it to the shuttle. Your job is to keep the enemy at bay. You should NOT be deep in the compound "trying to get extra kills." They're coming at you already if that's your concern.

You should be on the FRINGES of the extraction point with an easy way to make it to said point within 10 seconds.
