If you read my first post, you would know that I initially had terrible frame rate problems for a little just as other people but it quickly went away. I watched an PS3 vs. X360 analysis, and mine is closer to X360... But I do notice now that in the part where you confront the Alliance Council, it starts slowing down a little bit every time for just that specific part. Nevertheless, hopefully all the issues with it is a problem with just the demo or Bioware will come out with a day 1 patch (annoying as that is) that will fix most of the problems. =P

absolute garbage.

anyone who listens to this clown seriously needs to take a long hard look at emselves.

the issues are nothing to do with what this clown is suggesting.

Have you seen my PS3 yourself? Have you seen how my demo operates? No. I apologize for stating the facts, having a mostly working demo, and trying to help out. I just want to help out because I feel slightly bad about having a working demo yet it's messing up for some other people. I don't get where you're going with this, other than being a nuisance and jerk.

I
have the original fat PS3 and the Mass Effect 3 Demo runs perfectly on
it. The framerate was a bit slow during the intro cutscene but it was
fine after that, and when I played it again the intro cutscene played
out fine.

I think the people who are having these severe issues
that I see should probably do a defrag of their system (You basically
put your PS3 into safe mode, tell it to "Restore file system", and then
"Rebuild Databse". I promise it doesn't delete anything important like
your saves, etc.). Because at one time in the past, I kept on getting
freezing and lag issues with Mass Effect 2, but after doing a defrag of
my PS3 it ran even better than before with no more problems with Mass
Effect 2.

absolute garbage.  you should be banned from using a keyboard again for the rest of your natural life.

For
trying to help someone else out even if it doesn't work? At least
he/she is contributing to the forum, trying to help out and not
constantly whining about everything like the rest of BSN. Contrary to
you. Try acting nice, won't hurt you.

^Maybe you're the one who needs to take a long hard look yourself.

Sincerely, the Clown ;P

Apologies.  Someone tells me its a hard disk issue I get all cranky.
Formatting your PS3 (thus losing all saves and personal stuff - including all game saves / music / video / PSN stuff) is not the way you should be approaching this. (unless you can copy your stuff to another PS3 that is :) ) Yeah I know i'll advise everyone to basically delete everything from their PS3....that'll work (of ****** off anyone that actually tries it then realises the problem will still exist and you lose all your data at the same time).

:crying:

All I will say is that this is a programming/game/memory allocation problem - and has nothing whatsoever at all to do with anyones PS3.  (unless you are seeing the yellow light of death - but even that can be fixed).

Sort it Bioware.

Valkyre, have you tried decaf?

Seriously, there's no need to get personal on the guy or try to assume what's in his mind as to what he accepts as a good framerate.

Just chill the heck out.

Μy friend I am as calm as one can be... I dont need decaf, I have logic that works quite as well. When someone claims pationately that his PS3 magically has no issues, well I have to respond to that and present to him the reality of the case.

The reason why he has no problems is due to his teloerance ont his issue. Which isnt bad, it is perfectly fine. if it works for him playing at sub par framerate, then by all means good for him.

But is there a framerate issue with the demo? Yes there is. No question about it. Even Bioware acknowledged it...

There are no "powerfull PS3's" out there, or magically altered data that make the game run better for some people than others. It is just tolerance that makes a difference.

That is all.

^^ the point is that there is only one option possible to explain this:

You are very tolerant when it comes to framerate issues and what is perfectly working according to you.

That
is it. You are accepting these framerate issues. That doesnt mean they
dont exist. Every Single PS3 out there is the SAME. You dont have a
magically powerfull PS3 compared to the rest of the world. You are just
way more tolerant than the rest of us when it comes to 20 frames per
second performance.

Every single media out there is pointing out that the game suffers from framerate issues. And thats it. Plain and simple.

I
will say it again so you maybe emphasize it enough. You dont have a
magically tuned up ps3. ( in fact I do have my ps3 tuned up with an SSD
drive, and the game still performs choppy).

I never said ME3 doesn't have problems. My issues just don't seem as intense as what some other people are experiencing. I've read the IGN work-in-progress review (which uses the PS3 version) and my problems are more in line with the reviewer's... It gets a bit choppy during the Alliance Council intro part but that's about it. It also mentioned a few minor bugs later in the game, so who knows if my game will be the same? Most likely will. Nevertheless, Bioware has some more work to do. Hopefully, they will have a patch out by day 1 that fixes most of the problems.

I never said anything about formatting. Restore file system/Rebuild database is completely different than formatting. It deletes junk data that you don't even see or use anymore, unlike formatting which just deletes everything. Read my other statement in this post. Bioware still needs to address this themselves. :pinched:

You're not being calm or logical at all. You're saying that the guy is lying. Why? What reason would he have to lie?

Would it shock you to say that aside from one part on Earth, where the husks were, I had no framerate issues either? The framerate dropped in that one instance to about 15-20 fps, for about 2 seconds. And it was done. And I had no issues on the Salarian world. Also, I've played Skyrim on the PS3: I know what serious lag looks like.

So either we're both lying for no reason whatsoever but to mess with you and only you, or you have to face the facts that not all demos PS3s are having this issue.

I'm more annoyed that the MP demo keeps freezing on me. 3 times so far, though with the amount I've been playing it, it's not that bad.

:)

I've read your post and did a defrag of my ps3 and my ME2 running great now.  Thanks.  A little too late because I already completed the game 3 or 4 times, but no lags or audio issues now.

Hi, LinkinParkFan_2012

How old is your PS3?
I'm not sure if a defrag would help my case (my PS3 slim is 9-month old).

I'm glad I was able to help at least one person out ^_^ lol. Though after I "defragged" my PS3, in ME2 I still have had the audio issue where the person's line would be cut short toward the end in only a few instances. At least it was fixed for you. But thankfully none of that has happened in the ME3 demo =P

Since like 2008 I think, a little bit after MGS4 came out. It was from the second lineup of original "fat" PS3s (It's an 80GB). I have no idea of the new slim one's have the capability of "defragging."
