I'm planning on making an adept for Mass Effect 2 with Reave as one of the abilities, but I was just wondering if Reave would even transfer with me to Mass Effect 3, I've read on the wiki that the powers you've invested would transfer to Mass Effect 3 but I couldn't read anything about the special powers... does anyone know?

Probably not, since powers work entirely differently in the game - you'll just get points to invest in new abilities.

I did read that Kaiden will have reave in ME3. Conceivable that Shepard could have it too.

Kaidan should get Reave as one of his powers in the SP (it's believed that Shepard will be able to pick it as a Bonus Power again) and it also shows up in MP as a power for the Drell Adept. It works a bit differently in ME3, though - instead of healing you by syphoning enemy health, it creates a temporary damage reduction effect for you while the Reave is affecting an enemy (it still damages and stuns the enemy, along with preventing them from regenerating health... it's also highly effective against armor and barriers).

There are bonus powers but you don't get them on your first playthrough in ME3.

We don't know that yet.... how and when Shepard can select a Bonus Power is still unknown at this time.

I certainly hope we keep the power we imported our char with, would be pretty stupid if we just forgot how to cast reave or other betwen ME2 and ME3
