wating for my friends to play but 3 skills per character? I wouldn't mind too much if I could at least choose those 3 skills... At least, it would be fun that when you unlock a new character/race, you can take there set of skills and put it on a race you want to play, and choose sex.

In summary, please make your character more customable.

It is fun, but a lot seems strange, for example, when you move it feels like swimming, not walking, and when in cover it is easy to get stuck there, because as soon as you press space to leave cover, it covers somewhere else. Plus you have grenades and abilities, but the loading screen doesn't show how to use them.

hmm could be some lag issues? Cuz i dont have that problem it runs really smooth like in SP I just love running around and sliding over cover, but still cant finish a game, it keeps crashing every 5-10minutes!

Question. I think I already know the answer, but since this is a demo, we aren't able to unlock more than the bonus alien race as far as race/class combos go, are we? Turian soldier, drell vanguard.

I got the salarian infiltrator and he's awesome, but more is better >:D

Well I just finished playing the multiplayer demo for a few hours....

And I really enjoyed it; but it also made me realize another concern I;have.

Using the Cover System isn't Really Important Anymore:

Throughout my time in the demo, I found that I rarely used the cover system. More often I just ran behind a piece of cover to shield myself from incoming fire then strafed back out to attack and if I was really getting lit up I generally found it more effective to run like a mad man for the other side of the map rather than hunkering down in a secure position.

This links in withan earlier observation of mine about how the level design of the Sur'Kesh single player map deterred strategic thought by not providing you with any advantageous positions from which to coordinate an attack.

Granted these are multiplayer maps and are therefore don't really need to be designed with strategic coordination in mind. None the less I couldn't help but notice that both the multiplayer maps provide precious little advantageous cover and you get flanked so often that trying to hunker down in cover is rarely advantageous.

While I like having the game flush me out of cover every now and then, I can't help but think that the devs have gone too far in this direction and in effect rendered the cover mechanic far less vital than it should be.

I enjoy making clever use of the cover system; but the game seems so focused on putting pressure on me that it doesn't provide me many opportunities to enjoy the cover mechanic and that's a shame.

PS:  I still enjoyed the multiplayer quite a bit; but I hope some of the other maps give us some more useful cover.

I'm pretty certain that's the point, implodinggoat, being able to stay in one place for the entire game makes it far too easy, and just means that people find one place and stick to it.

Me and some friends just managed to complete silver challenge, and we had to stick together but also move around so we didnt get flanked, murdered by grenades, or in order to kill a strategic target. it was fun, fast paced and exciting, and makes me want the full version now.

Has anyone else who has "lost server connection" when trying to find a game eventually got into one?

Basically, should I keep trying or is my net connection too flaky?

This has probably been asked, but do characters you create in the demo carry over when you buy the game?

How does one download this demo? I click on the demo link on

http://masseffect.bioware.com/

which then takes me to

http://masseffect.bi....com/about/demo

where I click on the PC version. This then takes me to

http://store.origin....300/ccRef.en_US

without any further download links or anything...

Download and install Origin, sign in with your account, then search and download the demo within Origin. It is required to use Origin. Get Origin. Etc.

I didn't particularly like it too well but thats most likely due to the fact that I didn't care for TPS's in the first place - I only accepted Mass Effect's TPS in the SP because of the RPG elements that went with it and wasn't too bad of a means to adapt.

This case - ehhh... I mean its alright but I think I could be a lot more useful team member if it was FPS. If it was FPS then I would have been good-to-go. Its just strange to jump from MW to this type of shooting. My own exp of course but then again, I wasn't too much of a fan to Gears either so that just shows you.

If there are those who like it --- good for them! I guess the folks of BioWare did a good job for those who like this sort of thing. Just glad it isn't forced on you in the SP.

Well I finally had the time to play the demo so I played the SP on story just to see the emotion of it and it was amazing, then I played multiplayer and it was pretty much what I expected....worthless and finally I played the demo on insanity and it was great.

Story is amazing and insanity trumps multiplayer all day ever day.

There are an awful lot of connection to game was lost messages during searching for hosts. Also i don't like that, when i want to do a Silver difficulty mission, than when i connect to the host, i notice it is Bronze now... What is the point to search for specific criterias, when it can be changed on the fly by the hoster.

I hate to admit it, but i liked the multiplayer part of game better, rather then the single one. Maybe because too much content were cut from the single and during the mulit it felt more rpg-ish, while the single felt like a "simple" shooting game. :D

But i'm looking forward for both single and multi.

I was a bit disapointed with the single player demo, however MP has sure made up for that! it's been awsome, a bit confusing at first but altogether a much better demo than the story line. My only complaint is i dont get to pick my first class, but i got my second choice so i can live with it.

the mass effect 3 multiplayer was a disappointment. before you guys start bashing me with insults read why i felt it was a disappointment.

Remember Fear 3? The multiplayer of fear 3 is similar to the multiplayer in the mass effect 3; all you do is take on enemy AIs with other people online. This gets boring after 2 to 4 hours. Bioware; it seems you guys do not think far...sorry if this seems as an insult to you; I am just blunt. I will tell you what makes your multiplayer appalling. Do you know why Killzone 3 or the new Modern Warfare are still being played despite how old they are?? It is because the multiplayer is A TRUE multiplayer. You are playing against other players in a team of other players.

Your multiplayer does not pit players against players. Everyone at some point wants to snipe a human player. AIs get killed as one progresses through the story. We do not need boring AI killing on multiplayer mode.

The current multiplayer mode uploaded is a waste of time. Hopefully, you are doing something about this. If not...mass effect 3 would get washed up just the way fear 3 got washed up.
