I have to agree. The AI combat difficulty levels are hard enough to keep players entertained. There is no need to offer player vs. player combat that kind of goes against the premises of the "saving the galaxy" thing that Galaxy at War promises. And like DragonRage said it invites certain people to get an unfair advantage over their fellow players through unsupported means.

I will just add that right now we are playing the demo version of the ai, the full game will probably have slightly higher ai plus a wider selection of enemies with varying degrees of ai. Plus there will be a lot more maps, it's one thing to max out your skills playing the same 2 levels over and over again but completely different when you are getting random maps with random enemies... player vs player opens up the door for a few people to spend every waking moment playing and just randomly killing people who want to have fun with the game. Watch the 'world of warcraft' episode of Southpark if you want to know what I'm talking about.

I find that the Phantoms aren't that difficult to beat as a Human Adept. That the proper combination of a few Warp, a Singularity, and a liberal application of either assault rifle or SMG fire allows one to be taken down in seconds.

But then again that's just my preference. There are many ways to approach the same situation.

What's wrong with PvP? Scared to take on something smarter than a bot?

I doubt it. But if there were PvP, soon there would be hacks and "portal traps" and pk'ers whose only mission in life is to cheat and ruin other peoples' fun. Plus it can't be properly balanced, imho.

(And let us know how many Gold league missions you completed, against dumb bots)

1- What's stopping people from hacking against bots? Not having PvP isn't going to make people not hack and cheat. BioWare will just have to utilize anti-hack tools, such as VAC. Also, PK'ers don't exist in PvP.

2- How can it not be balanced? Both sides have access to the same abilities and same weapons. It comes down to skill, how well you use powers and how well you aim. That's the entire point of PvP.

3- No matter how difficult an AI is, it's still an AI. Eventually, someone will figure out a strategy for taking out even the hardest AI. They aren't able to completely change their strategy on a whim like a human can. Playing against other players is the ultimate challenge, which is why it's so successful in other games.

I'm not saying elminate PvE altogether, but it does get boring after awhile. It's like Jedi Outcast, I was unable to play online because my computer couldn't handle it at the time, so I played against bots. Eventually, I got bored and upped the difficulty, then I got to the point where I could beat the toughest ones with ease. I got bored with the game after that and I haven't played it in years. I don't want that to happen with ME3. I want a constant challenge to keep me interested.

It has no sense in the galaxy at war concept

Multiplayer isn't part of the story so it doesn't have to "make sense". If it did, Halo wouldn't have multiplayer, Call of Duty wouldn't have zombie mode, and Marvel wouldn't be versus Capcom.

Would be nice if there was some kind of autosave or something that lets you keep some of the xp and/or credits when the connection to the servers is lost.

It isn't part of Shepard's story, but it is linked to the story, unlike FPS PvP and zombie mode in Call of Duty. The Reapers are invading and Cerberus is attacking. There are better things to do than murder each other.

How is it linked to the story? Nothing you do in horde mode affects the story, so how is it linked to the story?

If there are better things to do than murder each other, as you put it, why is Cerberus attacking? See how much "sense" that makes?

But that isn't the point. I'm not saying remove the horde mode, I'm saying there should also be a PvP mode.

Im just saying PvP could be something interesting. I know many people suck agaisnt others or do not have good enough PC so get certain desavantages :) however i do believe PvE are always beatable no matter what, BO Zombies CO-OP being the case. Galaxy at war could have not even be part of the story so.. something to think about. But i still rather play a amazing SP, than a meh-like MP.

Anybody knows if the multiplayer mode will be "region-locked" like on some games? I'm talking about the PS3 version, btw. Thanks!

It's linked to the story in that it depicts the galaxy's struggles against the Reapers - if you level your characters up, you'll get to use them as war assets in the main story. Also, Cerberus is attacking because they're working with the Reapers now.

Stasis with an Adept
Energy Drain and Overload from an Infiltrator and Engineer
Then a Sniper Rifle headshot.

That's how we usally deal with them.

Turian sentinels can usually one shot their barriers with a well leveled overload, leaving them open for a good shotgun blast.

I love it so far, some physics glitches when your dead and power misfigurations, nothing big, just nerf some stuff and make some stuff weaker, amazing if you could hijack the Atlas like in the singleplayer

I'm absolutely loving the multiplayer. Will it last on the demo until the full game comes out or was it only a weekend deal?

I actually preordered the game because of this demo. I played ME1, but not ME2, and wasn't really interested in ME3. Then I downloaded the demo and got hooked. Probably going to pick up ME2 tonight and try to get it done before 3/6. Great job.
