Did you uninstall ALL the ati drivers and programs before installing your nvidia card?

http://www.nvidia.co..._update_v3.html try running that update. Also make sure you are running 191.70 drivers

Did you make the switch after installing Windows 7? If so did you run a driver sweeper to make sure that all remnants of the ATi drivers are gone? Are you having issues with other games also?

Aside from that a complete list of specs to include make and wattage of your PSU would help.

Did you try TallbearNC's suggested fix? Could be a currupt DA:O profile. I'm using 191.07's with no problems.

Also what version of the game are you using? Retail box? Steam?

EDIT:

On a side note, you are downloading the current drivers from Nvidia.com, not letting windows download them right?

Zero problems on my 285gtx, it has never crashed once since the games release on me. I hope your increasing your speed of the fan to keep it cool? Use EVGA precision, it works great as I set my fan speed around 78-80. Keeps the card cool at 40-45 Celsius

And if you have removed the old drivers please make sure you're using cc cleaner and remove the old ones in safe mode. Older files will linger around by just removing it from your control panel.

Good luck!

Thanks to Syklonis as well.. had same issues with Nvidia 285 card.. downloaded EVGA precision and increased fans speed to 78% (default was 40).. game now runs fine.. no more lock ups.

Thank you!
