Bring a stasis/good sniper/overload guy with you (in order of importance). I didn't find them much worse than they are on bronze actually. Luckily they love to take cover when you blow off their barriers and it's really rare that all the 4 or so swarm you.

I've managed to 2 man silver quite a few times by now. Haven't tried gold too much out of lack of a good team. Feel free to add Isbjornen91 if you feel like you are up to the challenge (I'm on the PC version)

I almost beat gold today. I ran into ONE good player. Made it to Round 9--so many phantoms and mechs it's not even funny!

Both of us gained around 70k XP---our teammates combined for less than 1500 XP.

It's funny I can't exactly recall the number, 70k just seemed to pop in my head. The point is that we each earned almost 60 times as much XP (again, by my recollection) as our teamates...good teamates are important for Gold.

My partner was starting games in Silver... he's on it since early access ... no go.. most people just keep dying and insist in solo'ing... then he invited me and we all died on wave 5... host left... wave restarted with only the 2 of us... we made it all the way... he's 18 and really good. Guess I didn't suck too much too. woohoo.. it was, like he said... intense and we f****** love it!

Level 19 vanguard. Haven't done much silver because I keep getting paired with baddies, but I can solo bronze with some luck and almost always win by more than 5k points (if not 10k). So I think I can probably do silver pretty well. Tag is ColdestGostling

Made it to level 4 on gold with 2 other people (we had 3 all together). We were all high levels, including one who was an asari adept with just one smg, so to maximize his CD for his stasis bubble.

That stasis bubble is very very powerful

Pfhor The Win - Xbox - Level 19 Asari Adept. I can solo bronze with little to no effort, routinely finish my silver games (with 3 people) but we need another to complete gold (3 of us get to wave 9 routinely). I just ask that you have a good amount of skill and don't want a free carry through the gold levels, silver levels? I don't really care, we can do it easy anyway.

Also, not going to be on tonight, will be back on tomorrow, not sure if my crew will be.
