I'd like confirmation that FOV will be adjustable in the final release.

The amount of motion sickness i experienced when playing this demo was astronomical. I actually can't play your game thanks to the ridiculously small FOV.

Bioware, I love you, you should know that by now, but please, PLEASE respond to those of us that are asking this question.

I don't care if the FOV is adjustable via config files, or what, but it HAS to be able to be changed, or I can't play Mass Effect 3.

Please, just confirm or deny that plan on fixing this issue, or are giving us the option to change it in the full version.

Thank you.

While I dislike how close the camera is now... motion sickness? Really? I don't know how you can play games if you get sick that easily. No offense.

d4rkspike, no joke - how big is the tv or monitor you play on? You may need a smaller tv, or sit further back. If you can perceive your environment beyond the tv, that may help you

I actually don't get sick easily. Something about this game is screwing with me, though. I know i'm not the only one, either :P

That's odd.
Not joking here but have you considered to take a sight test? I happened to suffer from the same problem 2 years ago only to discover later that my sight had slightly worsened.
Basically it was just the left one wich had suffered a bit but that screwed all my perception feeling, nothing a good pair of glasses can't solve. Image IPB

I didn't think the demo had a bad enough FOV to cause motion sickness, and I suffer from that crap all the time.

Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas all used to cause some extreme motion sickness in me because of their vanilla FOV. I'm quite used to the experience at this point, but I didn't get it at all during ME3 gameplay.

I guess there's different levels of sensitivity, but I was always pretty hyper-sensitive to this kind of thing before now.

Well regardless of whatever physical ailments affect me when I play, I know people are irritated with the FOV, for reasons other than just motion sickness. I just want a solid answer and no one is speaking up.

I bet it has more to do with what Totalbiscuit has been saying, right?

Not that I disagree with you that adjustable FOV should be in most shooters but your are pretty much straight up copying an example he used on a very recent video.

I'm not copying anyone, I'm simply venting my frustration. I've never seen any of totalbiscuits videos, but they've been brought up in other threads about FOV. So it sounds like the guy knows what he's talking about.

The Field of View is incredibly narrow. I think it's 65 or less. If you play Krogan in multiplayer he literally takes up a third of the damn screen.

In Mass Effect 1 you could adjust your field of view through console commands, but it would mess up the camera on dialog sections.

I heard glasses worsen your natural eyesight.

Guys, this is a serious problem - those of you who don't notice it are probably playing on a console where you usually sit farther back from the screen but while playing on a PC you're far too close to the screen for such a limited FOV. Our brains aren't meant to see such a small slice of what's in front of us and a lot of people get pretty nauseous from it. I don't get it quite severely, but after about two hours of playing multiplayer I'm feeling a tad shaky.

The FOV is probably around 80 while human vision is closer to 160 or so, so it's kind of disorienting to say the least.

I have to agree with the TC here. Although I'm used to it by now, the first time I booted up this game I was getting a tad dizzy cause of the limited FOV. Now my only problem is that I simply hate having such a narrow view of the world; it isn't natural and feels too claustrophobic. ME2 was way better in this regard.

Yeah I noticed the FOV being quite narrow. Even Metroid Prime had the option to reduce the FOV.

FOV 90 degrees would be damn nice. instead of the 65 we have now. playing on PC with a 32" screen 2 meters away and it still looks a tad silly.

Who in their right mind would ever get the collectors edition?

It's a waste of money.

Narrow FOV made me feel sick too and I had to pause the demo a few times during the second mission because of this...

I don't remember it to be this narrow in previous games but I also I used to holster my weapon every time I could to get a better view.
