I'd like confirmation that FOV will be adjustable in the final release.

I really really want a setting for that, too.

I have a tendency to get motion sickness too. Not in this game, however, unless maybe a little bit from the running animations. However, I have, a think a 22 inch lcd monitor which really helps a great deal.

As I said, you can't really compare the experience on widescreen displays with 4:3 displays ... the widescreen displays get larger FOV.

This isn't a fix for ME3 not having a FOV option; however, WideScreen Fixer (http://www.widescreenfixer.org/) is an application that claims to support ME3. I sincerely hope Bioware takes this issue to heart and quickly patches in a FOV option. As someone who does not experience the FOV sickness, I can certainly sympathize with their plight.

So far, all the files in the demo are encrypted, sort of. Untill we get to see the localization files. there is no way of telling wether or not we can implement a modded file for the increase of fov. I think the real problem implementing this boils down to 2 things. 1.) wether or not bioware is going to implement it themselves. 2.) and if they wound do it themselves. Will they decrypt the necessary files or will they launch a dev kit for the game. I dont have a Personal problem with the Fov. but even on a 32" screen thats 2 meters away. the view looks ludicrous, especially in MP with the krogan as someone mentioned earlier.

Don't worry, I'm sure Widescreengaming will fix the FOV for us if Bioware does not have at least an option in the config file.

Oh heh, just saw the link to the utility that site uses.  I've been using that for Kingdoms of Amalur and it fixes the TERRIBLE FOV that's in that game and improves it significantly.  I think I'll see if I can get it to do anything with the demo.

Here's a link that shows what the fix actually does.  Scroll down to the screenshots.

I used to have this problem with some games too. For console I make sure I am far away enough from my TV - 10 to 12 feet. And for my PC I have a 17inch monitor on hand (not ideal but better then feeling like you're going to toss cookies mid match). Playing on 19inch and up gave me the feeling of motion sickness. That said I have been playing ME3 on 24inch monitor and haven't had any problems.

Just chiming in to second this request, demo also made me motion sick until I turned off motion blur. I would definitely like to be able to change fov though.

I've heard that there would be more options in the full game than in the demo but no word about FOV, yet.

Yeah, the FOV sucks. We need to be able to adjust it. I like mine at around 80-90.

It isn't implemented well, yet.  In fact, without Eyefinity support, your field of vision isn't actually improved all that much.  Hopefully they get it down soon.

Lots of game have adjustable FOV. I don't understand why it's so hard to do the same here. Triple A title really should be feature rich or they're less than they could be.

Even if they didn't want to include weapon-holstering for whatever reason, I wish they'd at least pull the camera back from Shepard some...

I'm hoping for a FOV toggle as well. I'm rather curious though why Bioware hasn't commented on this yet. There're at least half a dozen FOV threads on this forum itself and I couldn't see a single Bioware comment on any of them. And it's not that this is a case of us arguing over some plot point, weapon stat etc.. It's about an issue that's making a number of ME3 demo users physically sick with headaches and nausea - isn't that important enough to merit some comment by the developers?

Edit: There's one comment by someone from Bioware here about how ME3 doesn't affect him. Fair enough, but how about a comment on how it's affecting a number of players on this forum?

It's probably because it's too late for them to implement such a change, but if they outright say it won't be in the game, all it'll accomplish is to trigger more whinging, so it's easier to just pretend the issue hasn't been raised, because it all amounts to the same thing in the end, just like the majority of choices in the games themselves (OH SMACK).

Bioware has commented on it. They said get a bigger monitor.

Its a bit earlier in the thread.

Yes - just saw that post about him playing it fine on a 24in monitor. I'm seriously hoping the Bioware fellow wasn't serious with his implication - does he really want to say that people with 15-19in monitors or laptop screens who are getting these headaches just don't matter?

I really think that this is an undecided issue internally at Bioware. If they wanted to just say "No." They would have said so by now. I think we're honestly waiting on someone to finally make the decision to include this or not.
