N7 is all of your character levels added up.
For example
If I have 2 characters at level 10 and 4 characters at level 1
My N7 rating is 24.
Sorry if there is a thread about this already. This is something i felt needed to be reiterated.
My actual N7 as of now is 57 though lolz:devil:
This is what your N7 rating mean.

Just to further add to it, it is all your currently deployed characters. If you have not created a character in a class it does not add to your N7 rating, once that character is created then you will have it added to your N7 rating.

Then does the overall N7 rating indicate your galactic readiness when it ties into the sp?

Hopefully someone (come back Bryan) may be able to answer cause it would be good to know if it's based on the overall rating or on individual characters you've got set up in the mp.
