A lot of people disliked the regenerating health and in several ways i can agree with them. When people play a game they want a good challenge especially those that play on harder modes so if your health constantly regenerates and it's hard to die it makes the game too easy.

You can always lower the difficulty if you die too much.

The ME3 health system is superior to the complete health regeneration in ME2. Far superior.

There should be armour mods that do that

Why bother with a health bar, when the whole screen gets covered in red derp stuff when you are nearly dying?. There should be an option to remove red derp stuff from the screen.

I prefer regenerating health. I've prefered it since ME1, when I'd always equip the regenerating health armor mods.

Atleast it's optional and you have to "earn" it. I also used it usually because it was very useful, but I still prefer it isn't automatic.

We'll see if these positive opinions hold up during a nasty mission where you've used up all your medi-gel and you're attacked by a harvester husk and a brute or 2 (example only, I hope). Watch the swear words fly.

There were no regenerating health in the first game. Deal with it.

Weak. I objected to regenerating health in ME2, but I really like it, and always have it in ME1. I wonder if there will be an armour upgrade to give back full regenerating health?

Legion: yes there was. The Soldier's special skill gives you regenerating health, as do the medical armour mods.

lol please tell me some people aren't complaining because you can no longer get shot to within a literal inch of your life, limp into cover and completely heal in a few seconds. They institute a system that pushes you to better utilize cover and now people are upset... again. In ME1 you had to obtain regen and it was pretty slow. ME2 gave you warp speed regen. Now ME3 strikes something of a middle ground.

And every time people whine... for love of life get a girlfriend. Wait, cant' say that. Get a significant other :P

I dont like it (implies the implants in question are gone). They could have made Health regen much slower instead.

Let me add to the chorus of 'Yes, there was.'  Particualrly for those of us that have been playing through as a soldier since ME1.

Heath regen is lame. I always hated it in every single game. Health regen = appealing to the CoD crowd (to speak in terms that BSN will understand).

I'm glad that ME3 is not appealing to the CoD crowd, and did away with the health regen system. This "new" health system in ME3 is better.

I love it...Health regen appeals to CoD crowd. Yet many RPGS have either health regen systems or upgrades or NON CONSUMABLE ways to gain health.

Wow...gotta love the ignorance

Wait so is the soldier's health system the same as in ME2?

I'd actually prefer if you could only regen one bar with the soldier also...

I think this change is a good things - like many people mentioned it adds some challenge to the game, and forces you to think tactically rather than just rushing in guns blazing and not worrying about getting hit. Def a good thing IMO.

Not a single RPG has a health-regen system as in: "wait in cover for a few seconds and your health will regen to 100% within a couple of seconds". Not a single RPG has that.

Health regen mechanics like that are a very recent thing that came from modern first-person and third-person shooters, such as Call of Duty 2 (and all newer Call of Duty games after 2), Gears of War and Mass Effect 2, to name a few.

I NEVER said in-cover-instantaneous health regen. Many have out-of-combat health regen (often almost instantanuos) or mana/stamina (which regenerates fairly quickly) based ability to heal onself or even health syphon powers and the list goes on and on.

This is so effing true. I hate games that do red derp crap, I can't see a sodding thing so it ends up getting me killed anyway. -_-

VGCats did a good spoof comic about it an' all.

I don't mind that it's gone, I do mind I can't regen it with reave anymore. Why you take away my ability to eat people, Bioware?

Regenerating health has made games too easy these days. I am happy with the way it works in ME3
