the handling of crashes and dc in the game is non-exist ant. there is NO-reason why a player should not be allowed to collect on currently earned XP/money after the game ends abruptly. as this happens after a failed mission. but a player should be allowed to REJOIN a match just not in the current wave is they have DC'd or crashed. as it currently stands as a long 20min campaign any issue with any one of the 4 players will fk the mission up, which does not add challenge to the game rather it makes it frustrating to play.

theres a lot of probs with the multiplayer atm. MP games are hard to find and part of the reason is, matchmaker is very VERY broken. I dont know what algorithms bioware used for matching, but usually more than 90% of the time doesnt put you in a full, and at other times it puts you in a group who have just completed a mission therefor the host leaves which results in the group being disbanded? this is remarkably fking stupid. just like your swtor game, but atleast you can continue in your party once the host leaves and a new leader is elected.

another problem is the cover mechanics need a complete overhaul because a player too easily (almost ALL the fking time) drives toward unintended cover or performs evasive actions which are totally unintended. trying to leave the cover you didnt want to take usually results in players diving/rolling to another unintended cover location. the controls are almost as bad as Kingdoms of Amalur.

after noticing the above flaws I began to think more critically about the ME camera control and came to the conclusion that the 3rd person view here it not really that useful and have having sherpard in your field of view swing his torso around (very unresponsively I add) is actually very distracting if you want to play competitively, something I didnt have a prob with in the previous 2 ME games but has become apparent in harder modes.

another thing, theres a lot of frking inexplicable character blinking for one location to another back and forth. I dont thik its lag related but another bioware quirk. seems like bioware is trying hard to earn the obsidian tag for fking up good game series.

this is prob why there is NO VERSUS MP btw because the list of complaints would almost match BF3s. so bioware rather leave it as a more mundane SP RPG than frustrate players with their ineptitude to create a half decent MP game.

It is a but surprising that they didn't make the ME3 cover system as smooth as that of Gears of War 3... I am pretty sure they mentioned in some interview that they had worked on how cover worked and that it would be "a lot smoother" compared to ME2.

Take a chill pill, bro. Itll help.

But yeah...for starters...Any XP you lose is easily gained back soon enough. yeah, it sucks, but its not the end of the world.

Secondly, just about every MP game tabulates scores and rewards AFTER the match is done. This is common practice, so dont act all surprised that ME does the same. Pick up just about any MP game and disconnect halfway through the match...you will also lose your xp. Just the way it is.

Matches hard to find? Are you kidding? I can jump into matches and it will be full, many of them decent levels. And its a hosted game, so BW cant control if the host decides to leave. If it bugs you that much, HOST A GAME YOURSELF.

Seriously...im fairly certain your a troll. Most of what you say either is general arguments that apply to any MP game, or its arguments are just false.

Kinda ragey post, but the first bit I agree with heavily. reconnect to game should be a feature.

Matchmaking is kinda terrible, I'd much rather a classical lobby system. I'm also playing many 3 man games.

3rd persion is fine, the narrow FoV is an issue for PC.

The one button does everything is annoying, and I wish we could remap it for multiple keys.

MP would be a ballache in balance because lots of characters have crowd control. Chain stunning is fine in a horde game but is no fun when you're on the recieving end.

in battlefield 3, and online arpgs you get to KEEP your experience after DC'ing and loot will still appear on the ground on the game server for you to collect and you can REJOIN the same game. NONE of this is in ME3 multiplayer.

I actually dont have a clue what games youre talknig about with frking tables and crap. most games that have tables also have a list of DC players like BF3. I think you dont have much of a clue here.

matches are definitely hard to find. hard to refresh constantly to find a match and a half-decent team that can beat bronze level is very hard to find.

As he says, host a game by yourself, for me atleast isn´t hard to find a full lobby...
Dice has years in the Multiplayer busisness, this is the first time for a new team on Bioware...
This is a freaking DEMO...
Things that you complain about are in other MP games...
I´m enjoying the MP so far, as my friends, as my cousins, it is a game, games are for entertainment right?
You better enjoy the MP, this is their first time doing this and for being their first time it is a hella fun!

Please fix this.  It is destroying my urge to play.

Last round I got to wave 8, and I lost connection, losing everything.

Then the last round I played I used an ammo upgrade, a firearm upgrade and an armour upgrade.

Wave 6, the host loses connection.  So I lost all of the XP, and all of the items.  So did the other three players.

This is very poor.

Lately I feel lucky if I get to finish a single match in a day. For me that's about one or two completions in ten. It is frustrating... As for the game mechanics, I don't mind them... Only thing I wish is that single use items weren't lost with disconnects. I'm rarely using them now as it feels like a bit of a waste. I was wondering if that issue was just with me, but I guess not. Well, here I go again, hoping for a full match or two tonight.

What's going on? Just endless "connection to server lost" messages, not just for me. Everyone it seems. Operation Alloy? Pfft, who'd ever get through a single match...!?

FIX. IT.

Has there been an official response to this issue? If there has, and there's a solution, then there's maybe 'brains' should be on the menu. Otherwise, need a FIX!

Battlefield 3 didn't log stats midgame until well after launch if I remember correctly. Initially you had to wait til the start of a new game to quit to keep your progress even if you were backing out rather than disconnecting. Call of Duty (didn't play MW3 enough to notice one way or the other) doesn't log stats until match finish or backing out. People abuse this by disconnecting to get really high W/L and K/D records. Same goes for Ghost Recon, most sports games and most fighting games.

Roleplaying games are handled differently, because you are typically participating online in the complete campaign or a log running coop game mode. In RPGs, upgrades and rewards are handed out on the fly, so it makes sense to keep an active running long to prevent RNG abuse. Most other online gaming experiences have modular match based gameplay where rewards are handed out between matches or under a regular progression schedule, so keeping an active log of stats is viewed by most developers as a waste of resources.
