A few weeks ago I changed my e-mail address and I updated my EA account to use the new one, but now when I log in to Dragon Age: Origins, it will not let me use the DLC. EA told me I would have to purchase the DLC over again, even though it's still installed on this computer and all I did was change my e-mail address on my EA account. Can this really be possible? Do I really have to buy it over again just because I changed my e-mail address? I'd love clarification on this from anyone on the forums who has had this issue, or from someone from Bioware.

Hmmm... that doesn't smell right to me.  Unfortunately, I don't work for Bioware.

This could be a coincidence... do you still see the DLC listed on this page:

http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php

... if so, then perhaps it's just a good ol' fashioned DLC authorization error.  Are you using Patch 1.05?

Otherwise, I suggest you send a personal message to Chris Priestly directly.

Yes, the DLC is still listed on my profile here under registered game content. I tried downloading it and re-installing it, but it still says its unauthorized. I'm using the newest patch for the game. I couldn't believe it when the EA person on livechat told me I'd have to buy it over again. My copy of DA: Origins is even the collector's edition! I can't buy that DLC over again, of course. It's very odd, I've looked all over the internet for why this could be happening and what to do about it, but I've come up with nothing. And EA has been unhelpful.

Strange, I've had nothing but good luck with the EA customer support folk. Maybe you just got an idiot. if all your DLC is showing up under your current EA account "player entitlements" page, then this sounds like a hiccough in associating your game with that account.

Have you tried starting the game, logging-out, logging back in, then gone to "Options -> On-Line -> Download previously purchased content" yet?

If so and that didn't work, I'd try support.ea.com again, and choose the "Talk to a Game Advisor" live chat option.

(BTW: Sending a mesage to Chris won't help you at all. DLC authorization is an EA thing, not a BioWare thing.)

Yeah, except I already pm'ed Chris, who is waiting for a message from the OP, and indicated he'll help.

Oh, you did? Thank you very much, I will send him a message now then. I appreciate the help :)

You're welcome. I went ahead and did that mainly because I think you got the *wrong* answer from the phone-jockey at EA. Chris doesn't work 24-7, however, so please be patient waiting for a response. Also, you may want to try EA again... odds are you'll get a different (and perhaps more knowledgeable) customer service rep.
