We have a response:

Treehouse Brand Stores All items will be numbered, and we did the foil N7 logo since getting them signed wasn't possible.

A foil N7 logo in exchange for a lack of signature? That's 1) an pitiful excuse for a substitute and 2) zero excuse to still charge $50 each.

Or it could be because Mass Effect is popular and they know people will pay their price.

I am not getting these Lithos if they aren't signed... The signiture adds a special sense of... authenticity that nothing can replace it with... I will buy these if they ever become $60 as a pair...

I'm sure it will be sold out the day it comes out.

Unsigned and a price increase because of some foil?!

Not impressed. The foil should be making up for the fact there isnt a signature, not increasing the price further.

I will definitely be skipping these 2 lithographs due to them not being signed and being $10 more on top of the extra money I get charged for at the door from COD.

Just to expensive for an unsigned litho, I really like the lithos but I'm going to pass considering the price.

No signature, no payout. It's that simple.

This has made my life cheaper. Pointless getting limited numbered art that isn't signed.
If you are going to sell just a poster then is should be $10

I wasn't super sure I would get one of this these, maybe the Reaper one (Aria I love but not a fan of the art/look) but with no signature its given me every reason not to spend what money I have on it (epecially when I factor in international shipping). Hopefully there will be some really amazing looking lithos (Ashley/Normandy I hope) with signatures over the coming months.

I've decided i'm NOT buying these. 120 bucks including postage for just prints and a random person scribbling a number on them, no way treehouse. Walls360 can have my money if these sell before a decent price drop.

Its a real shame since these are the first lithos in a long time that i was instantly taken by.

Since this is a surprise to us lot, i only hope people not active on bsn are aware of this fact before they buy them.

Whats sad is this is one more thing making them increasingly unpopular, and could mean they stop lithographs full stop eventually...

Yeah, no reason to get these if they aren't signed...IDK why they'd even bother with these particular prints if they couldn't get the artist to sign them. That's part of their appeal. And even with foil, $50 is still steep. So the price would be what, $60 for a standard size litho if they were indeed signed? Pass. These are just getting too expensive for my poor wallet.

I'm not shelling out for these, guys. No sigs, no $$... Sorry.

I don't think I am going to shell out for these. I just can't put 50 dollars on a litho that's selling point now is it has a little thing of foil on it and there are still only 500. As much as I love the art for reaper attack. I kind of want to see if I can wait for a price drop or something.

This presents an interesting situation for future lithos as well. Since some of the artists no longer stayed with bioware will future lithos be unsigned? Or we just won't see anymore of that artists work as a litho. Ben Huen in this case since he drew the Aria one. (Shame really love his work. Tali, The Team, Thane. Beautiful work) I want to know who did reaper attack now.

Ditto, I might buy them for $20 each though.

Hopefully this will be an isolated case... but I doubt since so many artists have left Bioware

Looks like a few of the art team have now moved on so Im not sure if will be isolated as you point out :?

I really do hope this is just an unlucky one of.  I dont think we can stress how much the signature helps make these what they are.

Why not drop it back to an open edition like the 18x24 team litho and drop the price back to 40? If the Artist isn't going to sign it I don't see why you would even bother limiting it.

This. Sorry Bioware and Treehouse. Not signed = no go. Keep the foil off and make it an open edition for $40.

Really disappointed with the lack of signatures. On the other hand, could be an interesting task trying to get them signed later; would probably make for a memorable experience at least.

Maybe we should all join forces to try and get our lithos signed.

Ah ok. Your post is confusing because you also said "..but I doubt since so many artists have left Bioware" which contradicts it being an isolated case.   It kind of states that this may be a running theme for the ME3 Lithos which would be sad.

Regardless I given it some thought and Im with the rest of you folks.  Im going to give these pair a miss now

Meh... I kind of doubt these are going to sell that quickly. If they do, I guess I will have to jump on a pair just to keep from losing out. Definitely disappointed at the lack of a signature. If this becomes a theme, I am probably going to stop collecting. You can't release middling, non-iconic lithos without a signature (and at a 67% price increase) and expect people to get excited about them.

I'm most likely buying the Reaper Attack, just because I drive by that area every single day...
I'm hoping for at least a price drop. $40 unsigned and foiled seems fair to me...

Just glad they dropped the ball on the one litho I actually want.... *sets evil kitties on Bioware and Treehouse*

Hey All,
Just a quick clarification on the lithographs:

The artists who created the art for these lithos were not available, logistically, to sign them. But, we really liked the images, so it was decided that we would release them with the foil N7 seal, as well as being numbered 1-500 in metallic pen.

We always try to get the lithographs signed, and plan to continue to do so on all future lithographs that we release. In this case, it just wasn't possible.

If you have any other questions, please let me know, and i'll do my best to answer them.

Ms D

The price is still at $50, correct? I believe most of the outcry is due to them still being at a very high price point.
I love the art, but not at a price point that's higher then the signed one, regardless of the shinys.

I just saw it on facebook that they aren't signed. Well that changes the game a bit. Why would they still be 50 dollars if they aren't signed? Actually it presents a few more questions. Who numbers them if they even are numbered. Why limit it to 500?

Because they can ask for any price they want as long as it says "limited". That doesn't matter though as you could always resell it on ebay for 200$  a week later.
