Hi all,

I don't play games online but have just tried out the ME3 multiplayer demo, and quite liked it! I haven't played the single-player section as I don't want story spoilers, but really wanted to check out the gameplay. I also withdraw my objection to the 'heavy melee' addition though I'm still unsure about the combat roll.

Anyway the point - we've been told that playing multi-player as part of the Galaxy at War system helps us in regards to the single-player campaign. What I'm wondering though is two things:

1. Is the important thing your multi-player character level, or how many waves you've beaten?

2. Are multi-player and single-player characters linked? So if I max out the multi-player character, do I get the bonus on all of my single-player characters, or what?

Thanks :-)

EDIT: cleaned up formatting

Don't quote me on this, but the impression I got is that the multi players is basically the fight going on around the universe. As you level your MP soldiers up, once they're maxed, you'll be able to "deploy" them to aid Shepard in his fight. The more you deploy, the greater chance Shepard has at success in the single player campaign. After you deploy one, I assume you'll be able to create another of the same race/class but will begin re-leveling them up. That's why the leveling system is relatively fast by comparison to other MP games. The idea then becomes to get as many troops to help Shepard as possible. Again as Bioware has mentioned, this isn't necessary to get the best ending, but it will help.

At least that's what I think.....
