So this will be my first foray into any type of modding, im collaborating with a fellow coworker, he has a really solid story/concept, And since were both novices to this here toolset, well we have a few questions.
1. Can we make custom content and import that into the da toolset? for Example, monsters, weapons, body types?
2. Can we import voice acting and custom music?
3 This goes kind of with 1, but can we create custom buildings with there own textures and such?
4 Can you make custome effects and or add your own effects? Can you say have a flaming warhammer or some such.
5. Can you mod the character creation? Can you have your own classes? Backgrounds?

You should be able to import custom assets for sure. It wouldn't be much of a toolset if you couldn't.

So lets say I import my own custom beast, is this imported with animations as well?

you can use what's avavailable in the toolset if it has the same bone structure, otherwise it will look weird. but you can also import your own animations.
