EDIT: Another thread ruined by ME3 haters. Please lock.

Look, if they have something constructive or intelligent to say, then debate with them. You loved the demo, surely you can think some reasons as to why.

If they are just trolling, ignore them, report them and move on. Yes, I know that mods don't actually ban anyone here, but it won't do you any good to just abandon threads because others have such vocal opinions that they don't respect own your right to maintain one.

I feel for you, PLC. It sucks when a thread that starts with a perfectly legitimate discussion ends up with being consumed by haters who don't explain why the game sucks.

We've been over a hundred times why the quality of this game is every day declining more and more.

The only argument for it that I've heard is "LAWL IT'S KEWL I HAEV FUN"

Wait, so do you want people who still like the game and are going to paly it anyway to say something different? Or is the ultimate goal to convince them that you are right and the game is garbage?

I never tried to change anyone's opinion nor did I try to convince anyone of anything.

You can ignore my posts anytime you want if you're hurt.

I don't get your problem.

No, don't misunderstand, I'm not offended or anything, its just that that post with 'lawl it;s kewl i haev fun' seems to be saying that people who are satisfied with the game are wrong to be. It's not that I have a problem, just trying to make sense of what you're meaning.

After watching all the arguments about ME 2 and now ME 3, I am slowly begining to wonder if it's not so much about "this is wrong", and "I don't like this" as it's about "It's not like ME 1 anymore, and ME 2 'ruined' the series".

ME 1 was good.....but it had many flaws.  ME 2 was a step in the right direction in almost every way (this is not the thread to discuss this, and since we're 17 days from the release of ME 3 at the time of this post, I'm going to move on).

From what I saw from the Demo, ME 3 is not bad; there are some minor issues, but what people need to remember is this - it's only a demo.  It's not meant to be perfect; I demoed Darksiders and thought it was awful.  I then borrowed it from a friend of mine and found that the demo was bad and the game was really good.  You can't ever base how a game is from a demo.  Given the success BioWare had with ME 2, I'm willing to believe that we're in good shape with ME 3.

So...the demo was good; but I'm now waiting for the real deal....bring on ME 3.

Yes, I'd tend to agree. Sometimes a demo can be a great boon to hyping a game but other times it can have the opposite effect. The same goes for trailers. They can just be incredibly misleading sometimes. But, then, it's impossible to encapsulate the entirety of a game (especially one as large as Mass Effect) in a tiny demo. I've enjoyed both of the previous games so I feel it's a safe bet that I'm going to enjoy the third.

I can understand people wanting to voice their concerns over specific details they notice but it's the overwhelming hate that really is unfathomable. If you want something to simply complain about, there are plenty of things in the world to get enraged over. Important things.

At this stage, nothing is going to change with Mass Effect 3. I think the best we can do is wait for its release, play it, and then give some honest feedback to BioWare.

Only issues I have is with the starter weapons being useless (except for the mantis and predator) and the bloody controls making me jump for cover instead of reviving a teammate or activating an objective. Nothing really wrong there, just something that can't be fixed (because if they do, then it'll be impossible to get to cover when an action is possible...)

On topic:

I liked the facial expressions, they were not perfect (lashes clipping trough and so on) but they were there. Due to my Shepard build I had a good time to see my Shep scowling all the time and the manly animation added a bit violence to the whole.

I watched her follow Anderson to the meeting and all I thought: Wow, she is so angry, who is the first fool crossing her path she will eat alive.

I really enjoyed the animation.

The Reaper descending and tearing poor headquarters to pieces was a nice moment to. I notice that I love explosions that make Shep fly around like a rag doll. It makes me wince.

The best part was the music. I listened to the song of the Boy-reaper scene before but that time I just thought: What is this dissonant ****?

It´s incredible how fitting it is in the game...

The thing I didn´t like: Sometimes Shepard blocked my view and I couldn´t shot. Annoying.
Less dialog options, but thats probably due to the demo.

I don´t expect ME3 to be perfect. But I think it will be pretty cool.

Then ignore and/or report.

You have a fundamental right of stating your opinion, seeing as the subject is relevant to the forum's purpose.
Anyone who wishes to remove that directly or indirectly is not someone worthy of ruining your day. Or thread.

I see. Well no, I have no problem with specific people enjoying this.

I'm kinda appaled that people are satisfied with some things and I've expressed that but I don't wanna change anyone's opinion. There's no point in that.

It is not me who's making personal insults. I'm not the one who's calling other people trolls just because they disagree.

\\this has me curious...

does anyone here, lover or hater actually think bioware cares one jot for any of your opinions ?

small companys might care as it affects sales, but a souless company thats got too focused on dishing out less and less each release actually hardly knows this forum exists.

the last 5 years have shown in the gaming industry that the public [in particular console players] will shell out money no matter what they release.

it is as its always been....

1: complaining on a large scale will affect the next games [only if sales/pre-orders are affected]

2: sychophancy only makes things worse.[most sychophants are console gamers who lets face it have little to lose as they are bound by poor tech]

yes i know it sounds bias, but i do really throw up a little when i read sychophantic troll threads posted with the sole purpose to upset those not happy already, this is the worst type of trolling.

Pois é. People have different standards for different things. I expect more out of my books and movies than my video games, but that's just me. People calling other people trolls simpy for vocalizing a different view point, which has happened here as much as in complaint/critique threads, is just an unfortunate and likely incurable side effect of internet forums. In reality there's no reason for anyone on here to be insulting anyone elses intelligence, first and foremost because no one knows each other, not to mention people just have different preferences. It's good when opinions are expressed, not rammed down your gullet. I'm just trying to help people remember that.

I have a data pool of 1303 people over here, eager to explain how full of **** you are. ;)

Well, when I visited the forums after demo release and saw all the hate threads I wondered if something is wrong with me because I liked the demo.

Imagine my surprise after I saw the first results of your poll. Thank you, by the way. :)

Funny. I seem to recall you, or one of your co-complainers claiming that "hundreds" of hate threads indicated something.

Why does quantity count there but not here? Weird.

Well, the minority in question has yet to show signs of logic.

the entire world sees something that you don't,

A mixed forum crowd, well above the level of 1000s, have composed a data pool that generally represents with relatively small chance of statistical failure, that shows that the forum popullation is generally satisfied with the demo.

So, when Eain suggests that he belongs in the majority, he is certainly full of **** unless he pulls off a bigger poll, over the same popullation, that contradicts mine.

I was actually quoting the CONTEXT of those threads, not just their loose opinions. I didn't refer to a statistical opinion.

So from all you've seen, all complains about plot, writing, animations, textures, dialogue and represantation on the demo are illogical?

I like it. It's a demo. I like it as a demo. I pre-ordered the CE in april last year based solely on the Mass Effect name, not bioware, not Dragon Age (which I like both, but not enough to buy, and they have no replayability for me, prefer sci-fi type games anyways). I could careless how bad DA2 is, or how great Bioware used to be (seriously, hardcore fans say this about everything stinkin' thing. Stop living in the past.) The demo is to showcase the gameplay, not the story. You get a taste of both and that's what a demo is.

Hardcore fans are nuts. U2 hardcore fans think U2 aren't as great as they were in 1985 or whenever, trekkies, its not as good as it was in 1966, Star wars, Lucas murdered their childhood, Transformers, Michael Bay raped then murdered their childhood.
All that should matter to the individual is that person's opinion, nothing more.

Demo's great, love it, can't wait for March 6.

I have played the single player portion of the demo and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, there are some things that can stand to be improved upon but in general it was a lot of fun. Some people need to learn how to just calm down and remember that this is a video game. When the zombie horde comes to kill us all, is being good at a video game going to help you? No!
