 I thought I'd have to spend the big 20,000 earnings to get a random one, but I didn't get anything new both times I tried. Just expendable equipment. So... how do I get my hands on playing a Turian?

Also, on a side note, it said I unlocked a stage. But nothing happened, except for a private play opening, and then it disappeared.

Its random. Ive only unlocked salarian after 10 or so 20k packages.

it's basically random, you buy vet and recruit packs (in the demo) and you have a chance to unlock a class. the vet pack has a higher chance and that's it

we'll see if the full game gives you different packs then just these 2 (i think BW said it will)

Yeah if we are lucky more packages may be added as we level up? Or unlock new packages through story mode.

And what about that stage one? I got it after we got the 11th and final wave.

Recruit packs have a random chance to unlock an uncommon upgrade or class unlock. Veteran packs are guaranteed to unlock and uncommon. Why that item or unlock is though, is random. You can figure this out by simply reading the descriptions for each pack.

I've been getting human female sentinel unlocks like crazy and I don't even use her.

All the armor unlocks and lights and XP and everything.

I want my damn salarian infiltrator!

I hate all the barriers Devs put into multiplayer, that keep you from looking how you want and playing who you want (worst offender being Uncharted 3), all in an overt attempt at lengthening the life of the game, when the only thing that can do that is fun gameplay.
I really don't get why we have to unlock coloring our armor. Is it against regs unless you have the "color with impunity card?"

Has anyone unlocked a character (not including the starter pack, apparently everyone gets at least one character using it) with recruit or veteran packs? I think I've spent over 20 packs so far and only get characters I already have.

I've only been able to "unlock"  is characters that ive already unlocked.

They should give out character tokens instead of specific characters. That way we can get what we want.

I've gotten a Salarian, Turien, Krogan, and Drell... just keep buying the vet packs and EVENTUALLY you'll get what u want

 i wanted the justicar but you guys are putting me off have to say the most fun ive had so far is with the krogan soldier.  Unlocked the batarian soldier but havent tried it out yet
