Great. Now why the hell isn't that explained in the game? It's never explained who Vega is, where your Cerberus crew is, or even that you are on a trial...Luan wrote...
Shepard blows up a mass relay in order to stop the Reapers from invading. Consequences? He blows up an entire system with 300,000 batarians with it. Shepard is then held prisoner in his own ship and befriends his guard James Vega whom really respects him. He is sent to earth to face trial, however, during said trials, Earth starts losing contact with the rest of the galaxy, and start believing Shepard's story, excusing him from being court martialed, during one of the hearings (the demo) the reapers invade.

At the end of arrival, Hacket TELLS you that Earth is going to call you to account for blowing up the system. But the whole thing about Vega is unknown to me. They better introduce that pretty clearly in the actual game.

The comic book Mass Effect: Conviction is free, it introduces James Vega, HOWEVER, James Vega and Shepard aren't exactly best buddies, just like Shepard and Everyone in ME1 were aquaintances but you didn't know much about them. Also, James may seem friendly to Shepard but that's because he really respects Shepard, other than that, the friendship will be developed in game entirely. Before you steer off-topic, if you want to discuss James Vega, take it to this-> social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/325/index/9253518 thread. (I don't know how to name links.)

I could very well be wrong, but it seems logical that the full game will have a little more intro than the demo.Mr Massakka wrote...

So, how come this free comic is never mentioned on the masseffect site?
If I had to take a guess, it'd be because it's not necessary AT ALL since James will obviously be explained during ME3, and people are far too quick to assume that the demo is reflective of the entire game.

That's my theory acutally. The demo was just for new Shepards. Imported ones will have everything explained. It would be a huge let-down if the intro is the actual game-intro.iTofu wrote...

Wow that is even more nonsensical than the Lazarus Project plot from ME 2 and I didn't think they'd be able to top that.
Really I think Bioware should have made a more plausible intro for ME 3, Perhaps an intro that actually shows us how the Reapers found a way to get near Earth in the first place.
