I have already maxed out a bunch of the characters approval and done their side quest, Allistair,Wynne,Morrigan, Leliana, Sten.  So the only one left is our good ol buddy Zev.  He wants to be more than friends so I decline and he loses 10 approval points.  So I reload and just gift him.  He is getting up there in approval  but I fear next time I talk to him he will go down that road again.  Does he even have a personal quest?

There's a way to let him down nicely. "You'd make a great friend", or something.

His personal sidequest is an encounter with some Antivan Crows. I'm pretty sure it has to fire in Denerim, but I don't know all the conditions for it.

Yea, I've always caught his personal quest in Denerim he though, unlike other companions, can and WILL turn on you when the Crows come if your Approval isn't high enough with him at the time.

You're not giving him enough credit here. If anything, Zevran is omnisexual. If it exists, Zevran will (attempt to) sex it.

I've givin his 2 big gifts, the gloves and boots. I tried the "friends" thing and I lost 9 points. SoI reloaded gifted him and haven't talked to him. Oh he did teach me the Assassin specialization.

His personal quest happened for me way late in the game. I also had tried to keep him at bay, I learned to just ignore the one choice I had at camp that mentioned him staring at me. I didn't want to lose more points. I do wish that personal quest had been earlier though.. I would like to have had his special skills you get for approval rating since he was one of my favorites to have in my group.

I lost 7 points with him because I told hm I was with Alistair and we can still be friends.

This was in my second play through. Apparently we started dating without me being aware of anything. He confronted me about it and I had to make my choice. It would've been easy if I didn't have a thing with Zevran in the last game. I sucked it up and rejected him.

Gifting him and not talking to him will only result in a confrontation later on. You were probably better turning him down then gifting him.

If you play through again, there's a part where you can ask him what he fancies. When he asks whether you'd be offended if he said he fancied you, tell him "no, but you needn't bother." No disposition loss, and no more flirty replies.

Although, really, 10 disposition loss is easy enough to make up for with gifts, especially if you bite the bullet and do it early in the game.

I haven't really used him, but I plan on it. I want to try the whole backstab/rogue thing. I got him two nice daggers, 1 has a Grandmaster Paralyze and a lightning rune for 4 damage, the other is a crow dagger %15 chance of critical hit. I am eager to give him a try.

Once you turn any companion down (except Lielian because she is bugged) they stop harassing you about it - forever.

So there shoudn't be aproblem with Zehrvan if you already turned him down once.

Not really bi"curious" so much as bi"sexual"
He's not exactly confused or unsure about the feelings. :P

Probably, but we can't really say that for sure, since there's no indication of how he feels about people that fall outside of the 'typical' gender binary.

edit: and yes, I realize that this could be construed as caring way too much.

I think Zev said it best:

"Sex is best when done well, and truly, that is my only rule."

I just want the approval of my whole party and I don't want him to turn against me in the Antivan Crow encounter later. Strange Fellow he is.

Men, women, dogs, cats, fish, fish-sticks, rubber chickens, horses, doorways, chairs, leather boots - it's all good.

He probably likes several fishsticks in his mouth at the same time.

Why limit it to one orifice?

Is this the one where you meet the guy in the market and he wants to meet with you at one of the taverns later?  If so, I told him he was sadly misinformed if he thought I was an assassin--did I break Zevran's quest??

Nope. It's an unavoidable encounter toward the end of the game.

How much of the game have you gone through?  How much approval do you have with him at this point?  Have you given him both of his preferred gifts?  How many other gifts have you given him?

Basically, if you're still early to mid-game, you have plenty of time to build his disposition back up.  Either give him the "just friends" talk or, if you have passed that point in his dialogues, "break up" with him, and then gift him until you have >=75% approval with him before the Landsmeet.
