I don't play popularity contest, so I don't care about the new characters. However, I did like FPjr for the VA.

Personally, I'm already bored of it. The problem with the demonstration of the game is people expected a lot out of the two gigs. Also, I'm enjoying MP more, I've been on Multiplayer since the 14th, and I played it before SP.

I don't play ME for a soap opera, and most of the dialogue I end up skipping anyway now (that was because of 20+ ME 1 & 2 runs), so I'm baseline satisfied.

Only expectation I really have is that I'll enjoy it. Any more and I'll be as bad as the majority of this forum.

After playing the demo, I've decided on waiting a week after launch before picking a copy up, just to see if it's actually better than what was presented.

If not, no biggie...I'll just wait for a price drop before getting it.

Severely disappointed by the demo. However since most of the stuff I'd like to see is not in the demo I'm still waiting to play the game to see how it's done and how it ends.

It made me disappointed in the Vanguard class, I love the new move etc but the heavy melee is a little dull

I've gone onto the Infiltrator and Sentinal now, Vanguard just doesn't have it's magic anymore because of the demo =l

I liked it, expectations are still high. I'm hopeful, the final game will look as good if not better then ME 2. (Graphics in ME have been getting better compare vanilla ME 2 to DLC)

Animations are stupid, but only without armor, otherwise don't bother me much.

The cut dialogue and story content makes me want to see it even more.

MP is way bettet than I feared, really enjoyed it. SP is pretty much as expected, which is no bad thing.

Now, onto the gameplay. When they said they were going for the Call of Duty audience, they weren't kidding. Hitmarkers, Gears of War-esque cover system,[...]

Are you stereotyping in a sarcastic way, or didn't you read what you posted?

How was that stereotypical or sarcastic? Gears of War and CoD aren't that far off; high-octane, mind-popping explosions, quick and dirty gun battles, etc. Do you seriously believe that Gears of War and CoD are that different?

I dunno. Even though I played the demo like four times now, I really can't say I've made up my mind. I liked the cinematic feel of it, but it feels like it came at the cost of dialogue choices and player control.

I simply don't know what the game will be like according to the demo. If its more like ME2 I'll be really pleased, if the demo is an indication for how the full game will go (simple dialogue options and lots of automated dialogue) I'll be incredibly dissapointed. I simply hope I'll still be able to really explore you know. Lots of hubs, new and old characters and dialogue that gives more depth to the ME universe. If its all just action sequences and one liners I don't think I'll ever buy a BioWare game again. Now BioWare can tell us thats not the case and ease our minds by saying ME3 will be the exact opposite of my fears, but I really can't understand the reasoning for the demo then; who are they targetting the demo at, and wont that crowd be negatively surprised by all the 'boring dialogue in the way of all the pew-pew'. At this point I simply cannot tell what my expectations are since I'm not sure whether the demo is a good indicator or not.

I for one will be giving it a skip. The graphics look outdated and the demo was dissapointing.

It was meh. I expect more from the game than what we saw in the demo. The demo was something of a disappointment, but I had already seen the leaked beta so I wasn't that surprised. I will try the game, but won't pre-order and will not buy before I know that I'll enjoy it.

I can't say the demo did Bioware many favors. However, it doesn't necessarily translate to the game. The animations are odd and the FOV is very claustrophobic to an almost unplayable degree.
They set themselves up for some criticisms by many people not understanding some of the game mechnics. Weight effecting cooldown times greatly for instance.

Overall, I will probably purchase the game just to end the series, though I am hoping that someone can mod in an acceptable FOV before too long. Whether I bother purchasing future Bioware games is really going to depend on whether they start actually making their cross-platform games actually designed for PCs as well. Not including a modifiable FOV setting for the renderer on the PC version is borderline deal-breaker. People would like to play the game without getting headaches.

It gave me a huge dilemma. Will I be able to play the single player with such amazing mplayer around? Probably yes but not as I first imagined it. Not without interruption. Definitely I'll be spending a lot more time in multiplayer than I could ever anticipate.

I feel guilty ever doubting MP. SP is just as fun as I imagined, I will not touch that part of the demo cause of the 4 weapon on Sur'Kresh.

I think the presentation and the feeling will be far greater than previous, but I just want the game so bad right now I sometimes ache thinking about it.

Being able to play mp until very close to release certainly is a good medicine to my anxiety for March 9th. Sp was good to be able to try every class. Doesn't tell much about story as there were made cuts in both sections, and from what I've seen, importing Shepard should make things a little bit different as far as my concerns on that opening.

Nothing really. I couldn't play Vanguard the way I would in the actual game because of all the weapons the forced on you. There was barely any dialogue, couldn't mod weapons, couldn't use armor upgrades. So as far as story and character customization I don't know anything more than I did before the demo.

If I had to choose, I'd say they're a little lower based on the writing and the lack of dialogue in the demo.

class and weapon customization is in the Multiplayer portion.  Get off the horse and try it if you can, its actually worth a few runs to get a feel for it.  Certainly would explain why the SP is lacking a few good things.

If not for the multiplayer I would've considered the demo somewhat of a failure.

As far as demo's are concerned I didn't think it was very good...even DA2's seemed better to me but the game is not the demo so I really don't think my expectations have changed since playing. I did lol at the running animations though...I kept thinking Fred Flintstone when I saw Anderson run.

I enjoyed it; even though I think it's again an '(d)evolution' (I don't want to include any bias here, I'm fairly neutral concerning the changes of what I've seen now) of what ME1 started with. Until now I can only say the combat and multiplayer is good; the introductionary stories have, in my mind, never been bastions of choice and so on;

You could whine or you could nod, in the end you had to have that idiotic Trask Ulgo with you, you had to fight alongside your mum, or you had to have the birdman drop out of your ship first. It'll be interesting to see what the reviews will say and what the rest of the game will be. I'm anxious for more in any case.
