 I've witnessed my sticky grenades upgraded with the proximity detonation not detonating with hostiles standing right on top of them. A rough estimate I would say that it happens around 10% of the time where they should have gone off.

I noticed it when i threw them at a invisible phantom.... and just stayed there.
