Hi,

I've been trying for the past 3 years to get my Bioware games to work... Nope.avi

Every time I try to install one of the games (ME1 or ME2 for example) I get a mysterious error message "Line 1, Column 40, XML error" or something along those lines... I just had a chat with EA Customer Service and I'll include the conversation in a link below.

List of the setups I have been using in which I've noticed the problem.
1. What version of the game are you playing: Digital Download, Origin
           MassEffect.exe - 1.0.14184.0
            MassEffectLauncher.exe - 1.1.0.4

2. System Details
Old setup:
i7 950 @ stock
4GB Kingston Hyper-X 1600MHz, X.M.P enabled
HD6950 2GB model
Asus Sabertooth x58
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

New setup:
i7 950 @ 4.00GHz
12GB Kingston Hyper-X 1600MHz, X.M.P enabled
HD6990, OC switch enabled
Asus Sabertooth x58
X-Fi Titanium HD
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, SP1

Details about your problem.
1. What is the nature of the problem you are seeing?
I am getting the following error when launching the game (see imgur link) . It happens when I try to click any of the .exe files.

2. When did the problem start occurring?
      Ever since I bought DA2 from Origin. Never been able to run it legit, had to pirate it to play the sodding game ;..;

3. Where does your problem occur?
In Explorer when trying to start game etc.

4. What are the steps in replicating the problem?
Trying to launch the game. Google "Line 1, Column 40, Bioware" for more information...

5. Have you modified your game in any way?
      Nope...

If EA's official people can't help you, we probably can't, either, and since the main thing we use is your problem report, you didn't create one of those.
