Okay, now this was a very silly mistake on my part, sorry :P. Download it again here, it should work now.

Basically, i forgot to put " " when passing file position/name to ww2ogg, the external file converter. This way it worked fine if there were no spaces in file path, and didn't convert if there were any spaces.

Okay now you are just trying to make me cry, the link doesn't work xD

I'd like the nice rhythm while talking to the Catalyst and on the space-elevator.

Unfortunately I have found nothing. Already begun search in .PCC files, but so far without success...

I tried backtracking to see if I could find out where I came across the SFX and I think I've found them, try and have a look at the .AFC file called "wwise_kro002_nonstreaming", at least the reaper "horn" can be found in that one :0)

Fantastic! Thank you very much!I didn't think that the file with the reaper sounds will be called like this. This will complicate the search for other sounds...

Nps :0)

What you need to remember is that sounds like these are located in files that are chapter related, like in this case it could be found in the chapter that involved the Krogans, where you need to take down one of the reapers, hence the prefix "kro002", so if you know a specific sound bite is played doing a specific quest line, most likely you'll be able to find it in that .AFC  ;0)

@ kyp108

Okay now you're making me cry for a different reason...

IT'S WORKING! xD

Soo happy, been dying to get a hold of the weapons SFX since I first heard them in-game :P

Damn! I had no idea just how different the raw sound bits were compared to the way they sound in-game O.o

In some cases I've achieved a better result by recording in-game sounds directly and then polishing them afterwards with my sound editor hehe :P

Anyone know if there's a specific uniform speed / pitch variable that can be used to get them to sound right?, or do each of the weapons sounds use different settings? o.o

Awesome tool. Thanks!

I wondered if anyone else has used this for music?
I have 387 oggs of music, and I'd like to compare my list of files with someone else's? :-)

Again, need your help, guys. I can't find this awesome sound when geth prime is falls to his knees and die. I was already looking in Wwise_Crt_Geth_Prime_SFX (and other Wwise_Crt_Geth_* files), and gth001_umb_rannoch_p_D_Int, and many more files, but no result...
Any ideas?

alright, i've updated the tool with the ability to extract .pcc, .sfar, and any other files for additional audio. See the description on the first page for details, and please tell me if you get any errors

Hmm... can't seem to find it either :P

Might be one of those sounds that's distorted within the game, so the raw sound won't be the same o.o

Yo, didymos1120! Can't wait to see what kind of work you will be able to do in digging up audio files in ME3. Your previous work in ME2 unused audio was great!

I found the reaper horn also in: SFXgame.538.

Though I have trouble finding the 'no ammo' sound... where is it?

As far as I remember the sound for no ammo can be found in all most all of the "SFXWeapon_..." files :0)

For some reason alot of them actually have a bunch of the same sound bits, don't know why they didn't just make a single SFX file for those sounds that are the same for all the weapons, would have thought it would save a serious amount of bites if they did O.o

Definetly awesome. I'm also searching ALL reaper-geth sounds and also the musics..there are soo much files : D

i'm having a problem. This thing extracts soome bigger files than1 Mb. Also in .ogg format, but it can't be played. Only some noise, or piano starts etc in the first second, and there's silence. I think they're from the sfx packs like: BioD_End001_435CommRoom_LOC_INT

Can't seem to download this tool from that site where it is linked to. Anyone mind putting this up in a place that won't remove the file after x days, such as say, mediafire? That'd be appreciated.

Some of the sounds (especially weapons) are made up of many layers, and are heavily manipulated in the game engine at runtime. You'll have a very tough time trying to recreate them with the individual files, sorry... :(

Sorry for responding late, haven't been here for a while.

Actually, Rick/Gibbed from gib.me seems to be working on some Mass Effect 3 tools, including an audio extractor much more complex than mine (including extracting audio of a specific actor). You can download the latest revision from his site here:
