My plea is simple and essntial.

I propose this because there appears to be issue that, after we joined the halls and pushed the READY buttons (SPACEBAR), we have to spend time waiting for players that were lvling up their characters or purchasing  stuffs, making it impossible to start the games.

My suggestion is simple. Make players ready for EVERYTHING before they join the halls and start the games

Its good etiquette to do it beforehand, the exception being if you fail and go back to the lobby with your points to spend, in which case you should probably quit and come back - you can join in current games if there is a slot.

I don't know, I change my builds depending on who else is playing, if there is already a Vanguard but lower level than mine, I might switch out and then have to add weapon upgrades etc.

It is fine as it is, but needs text chat so you can harass those too lazy to hit spacebar.

This. Having players ready before entering might make the initial start of the game easier but the time between maps would be just the same. And it is good as it is.

I think a 3 minute timer is fair

Agreed. 3 minutes is about the normal players can wait.

Adding in text chats helps too. How can a multiplayer game function well without text chat?

I honestly don't know why devs still use the the player ready thing, they should make it like the halo matchmaking so you don't have to wait for ever.(or like COD with the intermission between matches)

Who uses text chat anymore? Its useless, hell i dont even play counterstrike with text chat now. So what happens to people who level during a match? Going to kick them from the lobby because they aren't ready? This idea is silly, especially for those of us who play in parties and refuse to meet new people.

Maybe you want to balance the team first. I would hate to have a team of all soldier armed with the same weapons.

Not everyone has a mic. I prefer not to use mine outside of matches.

That type of matchmaking doesn't work for a CO-OP game like Mass Effect.

You want everyone ready and talking before a match starts.
