1. Udina - Fantastic bastard of a character. I guess I love to hate him
. :D

Not sure if you saw my list but Udina is hands down my most hated character. I don't know if that was BW goal for him becuase out of all the characters fans seem to be able to agree on hating Udina and that is the only character I know of like that.

Some of the TIM fans like Udina.

Personally, I consider him too much of a joke to hate.

And thank you Cthulhu42 for showing and saying that there is people who find something to like about Udina. I already said The same thing about Conrad Verner.

Was Conrad supposed to be a character for us to hate or find annoying? I thought he was comic relief. Image IPB

That's what I thought too. I guess some people just don't find him amusing.

Maybe it's because he assumes Shepard held a gun to his head in ME1 even if you went Paragon? I just wrote it off as Conrad being crazy, and then made Shepard hold a gun on him since he thinks I did it anyway. It was hilarious.

I can understand some comedy being annoying if it's not your kind of humor, but I think Conrad's a fun little distraction.

I may get the flame for stating it, but Udina is actually one of my favourite characters due to how thoroughly hate-able he really is.  I'd also like to point out that I do understand why certain characters have the personality traits and/or quirks they do.
5. Tali - Very cute and I can understand why she is likeable as a character, but felt rather useless as a squadmate. I never felt any need or real use for her in either game.

4. Kaiden Alenko-- Too cookie-cutter. I felt he was a very boring guy, with boring origins and love story.

3. Thane-- Got a big Zevran vibe from him, due only to the whole "hope of your recruitment mission to be his 'final' assassination". His love story was very like Zevran's too. (No one meant anything to me until I met you)

2. Samara - Self appointed, justified murderer who believed only her judgement mattered. I felt like even Legion had more emotion than this woman.

1. EDI - Very annoying. Tried too hard to be funny. Kind of just a ****y bundle of data. Disturbed by those wanting her to be a LI for Joker, lol. I understand her use, however.

Honourable mentions...
Jacob- Just... horribly boring. Stale LI
Jack- "Any female interested in my personal welfare is gay for me"
Miranda- Designed to be a sex item, literally.

I am new to the forums, however i am. a big ME fan. I am wondering why people do not like Garrus? I like Garrus and he is a squad member in all missions and assignments. I did not like Tali when I first met her in ME1. She did grow on me, but she is almost useless as a squadmate.

In no particular order-

Ashley- total b*** who doesn't know her place in the first two games. Got ruined even more in the 3rd. Looks nothing like ash and it is ridiculous how she went from senior enlisted to senior officer within one year.

Kaidan- boring and his integrity gets in the way. And it is ridiculous how he now magically outranks shepard.

Udina- no explanation needed

Allers & Vega- both seem to be a waste of space, and look like the jersey shore cast

Really? But... Thane had a wife. He's probably the only LI in Mass Effect who was really in love with anyone before Shepard.

Yeah, I get that. I really do, it's just, once the whole romance started, it felt like it was following the same path with some slight alterations. I know they are two VERY different people, just the feeling Thane gave me.

Maybe I don't remember Zevran's romance well enough to judge the similarities between them, besides both being assassins. Just wanted to point out that Shepard wasn't the first woman who meant a lot to him in case you missed the dialogue or something. :)

Tali. I never liked her because she was terrible in combat in both games and her attitude in ME2 is a downer for me. Now I have to deal with her in ME3. Another good spot for a squadmate like Legion or Miranda or some kind of Krogan, taken...by Tali...*sigh*

This is how I feel, to the letter. Her attidute in ME2 bordered on genocidal, her people made a race for slavery and killed them when they figured out their predicament. Now she wants to hunt them all down for the sake of them having the guile to actually fight for their freedom. OK.

Yeah, I would have much rather her spot be taken by a Krogan or some other squaddie.

Exactly how I felt! I have had a serious pissy fit with Quarians ever since I've heard of their actions towards Geth. An outrage.

I never got how so many people could just overlook that and fall in love with her character. I mean genocidal women are a huge turn off for me...

This is so wrong I don't even know where to begin. I guess instead of pointing out how this is a false ME2 analysis, I'll just post a ME3 spoiler. Highlight the following: In ME3, Tali votes against going to war against the geth. She stands up to Xen, who is determined to wipe them all out, and when Xen attempts some crazy stunt (forget what it is exactly), and Shepard and Tali defeat her, Tali urges her to kill her. In fact, the geth/quarian peace outcome is impossible to get if Tali is dead. She also refers to Legion as a friend.

So yeah.

Ok I don't HATE anyone but i did find some to be annoying:

1. Ashley. How dare she call me a traitor! So mean! I play on the PS3 and I made the effort to go and get the interactive back-story just so I could kill her on Virmire! Kaidan just seems...nicer.

2. Tali. Just...just...I don't know! I just don't like her! Maybe because she reminds me of a teenage girl at times or because her story bores me a bit. But I will admit; she CAN be cute. Not often but enough for me not to hate her.

3. Udina. Big-ass pr*ck! He's just a horrible person...that I really want to kick in the nuts. But good writing though. He's a character you WANT to hate.

4. Jacob. He was just a whole new line of boring. But he was normal so there's nothing wrong with him. Just compared to others he's really bad.

5. Jack. Great writing and to specify I do not hate her. Her writing is good but she has that personality and that crude attitude. I understand why she's the way she is but that doesn't mean I have to like it. But she can be funny.

Not to sound defensive, but is this *really* the only reason people don't like Miranda? I have yet to see someone mention her mental traits or personality when saying they don't like her. It's always "She's just a sex icon" or "The only reason she's in the game is for teenage kids to ****** off". Not once have I seen someone dislike her because of her cold personality or her attitude. It just shows a lack of knowledge of the character, and unwillingness to care (Don't judge a book by its cover, right?), and it's incredibly shallow. All it takes is 1 conversation with her to see that she has more depth than "lololol dat ass". If you still don't like her after that, then, fine.

So yeah.

Well see, the problem with that is...We've only had ME1 and ME2 to judge her character, not ME3. For those of us who wanted to remain spoiler free (how dare we!) we only have those two games to base our opinions off of.

Thus that is all this is, opinions. If you're going to get angry, sarcastic or generally mad in general over someone elses opinion (which contrary to popular belife is not fact.) than a forum is not where you should be. A lot of Tali fans are very cool, and they really just like the character because THEY like the character not because other people like her. If someone doesn't like Garrus, I'm not going to flip out and throw facts at them or be rude. It's their opinion and that's totally cool with me. That's what the ME franchise biold down to, what you do, what you like and what you make of it.

Well if you hate you guys hate Tali, and Garrus just make sure they don't survive the suicide mission. Same with anyone else you don't want alive in ME3.

Re-hide the spoilers, Legion64; when you quoted, they showed up again. Also, not sure if serious.

He's probably just joking.

I don't hate Tali, I just dislike her attitude. She's a good character, and brings a lot of other things to the game besides that, it's just a glaring flaw I see in her.

I've seen quite a lot who don't like her for this reason, who think she's a "b*tch."

Woah! Can't leave Tali to die in Suicide mission. I need someone to hate! Anyway, I just dislike her attitude and she is useless in combat is all. Still hate quarians.
