Post here your ideas to improve the multiplayer experience.

- Pass the host responsibility to another random player and keep group if host leaves. this prevents incidents such as random high level 3 player group from disbanding due to one level 1 hosting the game and not knowing to press space to continue.]

- Have either a game lobby where players can organise games with other players or a current games list which shows players a list of games that have formed they can join which you can filter out by ping/level/characters etc. this would result in a lot better handling of high level difficulty mode rather than relying on the player to invite friends which is the only way to complete silver + gold difficulties imo.

- Ingame text chat is a MUST for a mutiplayer game. need to put it in here. lots of ppl dont like to have their voice projected through the internet or dont want to invest in a mic.

- Other modes of coop over than conjested maps. others have pointed out they expected it to be more story driven, so maybe bioware can leverage its strength and include story coop mode where players can either play parts of the single player campaign at 4x player difficulty, or additional designed levels to cater for coop play.

- As a player of Arpg games I like the addition of rolled items, but maybe expand here a little more to give players more replayabiliy. I suggest add an endgame mode (as a DLC idea) to the single player campaign thats similar to arpgs where you can play on infinitely ramping game difficulty where the rewards are better/unique rolls after completing each difficulty mode similar to the diablo system. since designing items for such a system requires a fair bit of time and may not appeal to everyone you can make it a DLC. it also doesnt change the single player experience, so its less objectionable as a DLC.

- an option for the player to use traditional FPS wasd controls. or use these changes to make cover work properly.

sprint, hold forward key + space. once sprint is activated you dont need to hold space down.
evade, hold sideway backward key + press space
take cover, hold forward key + space.
take cover from sprint, press space when close to cover
jump over cover from sprint, double tap space while sprinting at cover
jump over cover (can be performed while in cover), hold forward key + space.
turn cover (you have to be in cover), hold sideway key + press space
look out of cover (to fire), use the sideways key OR forward key.
interact/activate, hold space while mouseover target.
move out of cover, hold backwards OR double tap backwards, OR double tap sideways if at cover threshold (i.e looking around the corner).
switch cover, double tap sideways key to leave cover + press space

thats it for now. ill post more after.

And once again I'd like to point out that separating Sprint and Cover would be the better way to do it. :P
Shift for sprint, space to get in and out of cover and double-tap space to switch cover. Another way to do it would be hold space to switch as Deus Ex does it (I think).

As for the rest: Sounds good to me. Especially the text chat, but I think it's already in the game as there is a key binding for it.

No thanks about the text chat. It seems good in theory, but it'll just end up being american kiddies hurling abuse regarding peoples moms and so forth.

chat is needed as proper communication is required to beat bronze with a couple of low levels in the group who dont know the enemies objectives or how to rez properly. and also for relaying group tactics for better area control rather than wondering around aimlessly.

The learning curve is a couple of hours. Let the new people grow into it.

As has been solemn, sacred tradition since the days of Quake, LAN parties, and CS 1.3

In the name of the head shot, backstab, and AWP.  Amen.
